A good day trip is the Lake of Guerlédan surrounded by the Forest of Quénécan. Set in beautiful countryside but only 40 minutes’ drive away from the nearest beach, this holiday property offers living away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It lies close to the medieval village of Moncontour. Corlay and Quintin are also worth a visit.

  2. A spacious, well equipped property. Semi-detached but no problem with privacy. Excellent facilities for indoor games in a detached building. Aug 2011.
  3. The cottage is clearly very well maintained and the owner is friendly and approachable without being imposing. We were perhaps fortunate in that no-one was occupying the sister property (semi-detached) during the week we were there, which meant we had sole use of the games rooms - also well-equipped - and the 3 children could make as much noise in the pool as they liked! The only downside is the lack in Le Bodeo (the only village within comfortable walking distance) of a bar/restaurant. The one that existed has closed. Larger villages like Quintin and Corlay were, however, easy to reach by car, and there is a good bakery and decent restaurant in the hamlet of St Martin du Pres. July 2011.
  4. Great cottage, clean and the owner is helpful we reached cottage at 1.00am midnight and they were happy to provide the keys. Nice location, pool was excellent and mornings the scenery beside the cottage and cows was plesent. April 2011.

  15. We found the accommodation in a very peaceful location with easy access by car to main roads for exploring the area. The owners of the property had thought of everything, supplying cable english TV and even a playstation with games. There was table tennis and a snooker table in the games room.
