Property Description

La Maison Bleue is a lovely property, within easy walking distance of the popular seaside resort of Bénodet and with a view over the port. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a marine theme and the pleasant living area opens onto the small garden to the rear of the house, which has an attractive terrace area, ideal for relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying summer meals. There are many activities available, from body boarding and sailing to golf and horse riding. Enjoy a pleasant afternoon walk along one of the coastal paths which run along the beaches, through the coves and across the headland, and then relax for an evening meal of fresh seafood in one of the many excellent restaurants.

Location: 200m from centre of Bénodet (excellent beaches, shops, restaurants, water sports, golf), 8km W of Fouesnant (shops, restaurants, beach), 16km S of Quimper (city, all services).

  1. The cottage was better than described really. Lovely seaside decorations and every cooking and serving utensil you could want to use. It was great having a second extension at the end of the beautifully kept small garden. It would have been good to have wi fi as this was difficult to find anywhere. Really near the harbour and several very good restaurants. If only the weather had been good enough to sit outside or go on the trip to the islands which looked lovely in the sunshine of the photos. June 2012.
  2. The "Maison Blue" is all that is promised and a whole lot more, the photo’s just don’t do it justice (as good as they are). The annex is more like a garden flat without a kitchen, and totally separate from main house, thus giving family or friends a nice private area. Monsieur could not have been more helpful or nicer, he also speaks fairly good English. The property is only 3 mins walk away from main shipping port and some very good restaurants, but on a very quiet residential one way road. We will hopefully return later in the year, 100/100. May 2012.
  3. A quiet oasis near the marina with the restaurants and a promenade to a good sandy beach. Great swimming. Good location for boat trips up the Odet river. Easy to park, fantastic bakery a stroll away and the local shops cover all you need. Supermarket a short drive away. May 2012.

  5. Fantastic location quite area of town but close to the beach and shops. The house was wonderful lots of thought put into the decoration and equipment. The annex was a fab addition to house my parents. Enclosed garden was great for our 2 year old son to play in. The owner was wonderful. We’d definately recommend this property and even go back ourselves! June 2011.

  9. The photos of the cottage did not do it justice. The ’annexe’ is a beautifully renovated separate sleeping space which makes the package ideal for two couples sharing. Being able to walk to all the facilities of Benodet was a real bonus. We love it! April 2009.
  10. The main house was decorated in a novel way in the style of a ship. The electric beds were extremely comfortable and my husband was delighted with the TV reception, he could watch the football! The shower in the annex was roomy and ideal for larger persons. Aug 2009.

  12. Fantastic location, right in the centre of town; 1 min walk to wonderful boulangerie, creperie, poissonerie & a pizza restaurant with THE BEST pizzas! Marina can be viewed from main bedroom window; boat trips embark 5 mins away at marina. Blissful location. Sept 2007.
