Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. This is a cosy and very well-equipped cottage adjoining the owners farmhouse. We bought basic household items on the way there but found everything we needed, down to kitchen towels already there. As reported by others, Eileen had left us a lovely tea of brack, homemade jam and scones. She and Thomas are very welcoming but not instrusive and very helpful with local hints - like the easiest way for a day trip to Dublin. The farmhouse isn’t the easiest place to find from the instructions but if you plug Graney into the SatNav, that will take you to the bottom of the road. Beware - there are lots of ’Ace Fencing’ signs around Castledermot and we took the wrong one (several times). The views from the cottage are gorgeous and would have been even better in nice weather, but it didn’t really matter. A great holiday. May 2012.
  2. We have nothing to add about the cottage, only an observation about the directions supplied. Although the directions were fine, it would have been helpful to have a grid reference available for those that wish to use a SatNav as well as a map. Aug 2011.
  3. We received a very warm welcome from Eileen and Thomas. There was everything we needed there it was very spacious quiet a lovely cottage and surrounding areas. Home from was also so nice of Eileen to bake us scones and cake and also leave us eggs milk butter and all the vegetables from their garden. A very nice couple we would definitely return. Aug 2011.
  4. The accommodation was first class. Sept 2010.
  5. Spacious for a two bedroomed property. July 2010.
  6. Light and spacious. Downstairs bedroom fab. May 2010.
  7. A very comfortable, clean property in a wonderfully quiet rural setting. Welcoming, charming and helpful hosts. April 2010.
  8. Everything - location, welcome received, accessibility etc. March 2010.
  9. Location was beautiful. Welcome by owner was fantastic. Baked scones and cakes on arrival! The owner also asked ages of our children before we arrived and appropriate toys were present in the accommodation which was great. Aug 2009.
  10. A nice, even luxurious cottage with very friendly owners ! Aug 2009.
  11. This was a home away from home, everything we needed even the home cooked scones freshly baked on the table for us when we arrived it is a smashing place well worth a visit. Aug 2009.
  12. We have never booked a cottage before, but after this one, any other will be a disappointment. The kitchen was fully equipped, there was scones waiting for us , eggs and milk in the fridge. Everything was perfect. March 2009.
  13. The pictures and description of the cottage on the web site does not show the cottage in its true light, it is far better than is seen. The cottage and its location are idyllic, the welcome absolutely wonderful after a days traveling. April 2009.
  14. Property ideal for people with mobility problems or elderly as one bedroom and living area on ground floor level. Oct 2008.
  15. The owners were very helpful and the property is situated very handily for all the main attractions in the area. July 2008.
  16. The accommodation was excellent by far the best we have had in all the years we have been renting property for a holiday. June 2008.
  17. Fantastic first impression - although the website photos did not do justice to the stunning accommodation. Eileen and Thomas welcomed us warmly and everything was immaculate. Will definitely visit the cottage again. May 2008.
  18. Brilliant for a family holiday on a working farm. Owners make guests feel truly welcome. Highly recommended! Aug 2007.
  19. The fast ferry was cancelled the day before departure and the company staff were marvellous in keeping us up to date with developments and finding us an alternative crossing. August 2006.
