Property Description

Located on the High Street of this popular, traditional seaside town, King’s Cottage makes an ideal holiday home providing all modern conveniences but retaining the charm of a Victorian cottage. One of a row, King’s Cottage is just a few yards from Southwold’s unique selection of shops, galleries, restaurants and pubs, whilst the beach with its colourful array of beach huts and renovated pier is just a few minutes away. A great area for walking, cycling, sailing and bird-watching (RSPB at Minsmere is a short drive away), there is also a seasonal ferry or foot bridge which will take visitors to Walberswick for a day’s crabbing. Shops 200 yards, pub 20 yards.

  1. This cottage is ideally placed to take advantage of Suffolk’s many attractions. There are numerous eating places and places to visit within walking distance and Southwold itself has such a friendly feel to it. Dogs and their owners are made to feel most welcome - our dogs are already counting the days until their next visit! March 2012.
  2. The cottage is excellent but in our opinion not suited for disabled or frail elderly people, as even though they are covered in very good non-slip carpet, the stairs are very steep. Nov 2011.
  3. The property was very well equipped and clean and was in an excellent location with easy access to the town of Southwold by walking. Although there is no parking we were always able to find parking easily near by. Aug 2011.
  4. The cottage is excellent situated at the end of the high street such that it is quiet, but only a few minutes walk to many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. It is also ideally situated to get to the harbour and associated walks to Walberswick. The Cottage itself has a front door into the main sitting area, equipped with a sofa, chair and small TV. Through the lounge is the dining room and off this a kitchen and bathroom extension. All the rooms are a good size. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a room with two single beds. Again all rooms are a good size with cupboards and drawers. Southwold itself is a lovely town with a great beach and Pier. It was very easy to spend a week there, and would gladly do so again. July 2011.
  5. This cottage is situated in the perfect place excellent quality shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance and lots of places of interest to visit just a short trip away. The area itself welcomes responsible dog owners and is very dog friendly. We have stayed at this cottage on a couple of occasions - the standard of cleanliness is always very high and your every need is catered for. March 2011.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
