Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The property was used as a base for a week of fishing in the Cambridge area. Location was very good for a number of quality fishing areas unfotunately for us conditions were far from perfect. Overall we would consider this property again for future ventures. July 2012.
  2. Just what the doctor ordered, lovely and quiet, nice walks along the river. Had some nice meals in the local pub. Tip bring some fishing tackle with you. Bird watchers paradise. June 2012.
  3. We were in need of somewhere to destress, and the location was the ideal place. We had always passed through Cambridgeshire for the coast, but staying there for the week was great. The local towns were all very interesting and parking was usually free. Sept 2011.
  4. A lovely place to relax and fish. Kingfisher going past even landing on my fishing pole fantastic. Sept 2011.
  5. Lovely place to stay, we found lots of things to do while we were there, Duxford Air Museum & Newmarket Racing museum are both well worth visiting. Aug 2011.
  6. Wonderfully comfortable with friendly welcome from Allan. I managed the few steps into the property without too much trouble despite my mobility problems due MS, but it wouldn’t be suitable for wheelchair users as that is the only entrance. Linen and towels beautifully laundered and everything provided (except for a bottle opener!) Quiet location with a plethera of wildlife in a riverside situation. Some problem finding it as it is not actually called "Kingfisher Lodge" and there is another nearby property that is!! Local BT openzone signal for broadband (although weak) enabled email collection on my laptop. Lovely for a week away from it all. June 2011.
  7. Great place and location for a relaxing holiday. April 2011.
  8. Very clean and very comfortable. The owner was very helpful. A tranquil location with a lovely view over the fields. Very convenient for Ely, Cambridge, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds. July 2010.
  9. Everything was well laid out for ease of use. May 2010.
  10. The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped - also the location is excellent, very quiet and fantastic for bird-watching. April 2010.
  11. The situation of this lodge was so good we couldn`t wait to get back after a days touring, the birdwatching from the conservatory was the best yet! RSPB members (or not!) please take note! June 2009.
  12. Excellent for bird watching. May 2009.
  13. The accommodation had everything we required and more, it was like home from home. The cleanliness was superb, ample room and no clutter. Easy to keep clean. We were made to feel very welcome and everything was explained to us. July 2009.
  14. Nice location. Cabin was modern with great views. Very clean. Owner is very helpful. Would recommend. July 2009.
  15. The view from the sun lounge was excellent and the location was very peaceful. June 2008.
  16. A very peaceful and relaxing location. Sept 2007.
