Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. In a nut shell, I can,t see us as a family, staying anywhere else in the Forest of Dean. In fact as soon as we arrived back home, one of my daughters tried to book a holiday there in July, but it is booked up. We will be staying there next year, god willing, and the year after, and the year after. Regards Lionel. April 2012.
  2. The welcome from the owner made the holiday, the cottage was spotless and the owner obviously took a pride in his property. Dec 2011.
  3. Kiln Cottage is very comfortable, quiet, warm, cosy and nice to be in just relaxing, or to get back to after a days walking or a drive touring the area. It is extremely well kitted out and has a very thoughtful and welcoming owner. May 2011.
  4. Welcoming, cosy clean and well equipped - excellent host/owner. Feb 2011.
  5. The owner was extremly helpful. Everything you could possible want was available to us. Nov 2010.
  6. Owner very helpful. Cottage clean and with every facility necessary. Made to feel very welcome. July 2010.
  7. The three bedrooms were all a good size. Two twins and a double allow for flexibility when booking a larger cottage. There were also two bathrooms, which helps when family or friends come for part of the holiday. July 2010.
  8. Although it doesn’t say in the details (but should), this property was set away from others on a country track so there was no traffic interference. The property was not modern in appearance but this didn’t matter one bit as it was exceedingly well-looked after and obviously loved by the owner. Coal and heating was free, which it isn’t in other ECC properties. Electric blankets for each bed, hairdryers in each bathroom, soap, towels, bbq, a piano! etc. A cheap and brilliant property. April 2010.
  9. Very well equipped, very quiet, able to walk into forest/footpaths without crossing a road. April 2010.
  10. Everything was provided by a very considerate host. Dec 2009.
  11. Very well appointed, excellent range of cooking equipment. Friendly welcome, good location, walks from the door. Dec 2009.
  12. 2 bathrooms, one en suite. It was CLEAN. Layout was good. Wonderful ’hidden garden’ with stunning views. Nov 2009.
  13. Graham the owner makes the house very welcoming this is our 3rd visit. Oct 2009.
  14. Suited very well, although trees and shrubs within the garden are blocking out much light. Electric lights needed to be on at all times. Location absolutely ideal for long walks, a paradise for the dogs. Hope to visit again. Oct 2009.
  15. Very well furnished including a piano! Good large bedrooms. Excellent storage both upstairs and down. Lovely outdoor patio with stunning views. More than adequate for 6 adults and two under-1s. Sept 2009.
  16. Very conveniently located for access to all Forest of Dean & Wye Valley sites of interest. Very quiet & peaceful. Spacious grounds. Very well equipped - everything thought of. Lovely views from deck. House itself a little too shaded by trees. A lovely week. Aug 2009.
  17. A wonderful holiday, glorious views from decked veranda. Everything and more provided by the owner. He was very knowledgeable regarding the local area, and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was first class, this holiday was enjoyed by both young and old alike, and we can’t wait to return next year. May 2009.
  18. Owner very helpful. Lots of information on area, restaurants, supermarkets and places to visit. Thoughtful extras provided. May 2008.
  19. Although not luxurious, the cottage was absolutely ideal for a holiday with dogs. The owner immediately made us feel very welcome and relaxed and the location couldn’t have been better. March 2008.
  20. Very pleasant and friendly owner. Extremely well-equipped cottage, everything thought of. Lovely to be able to take dogs with us. Fabulous location with stunning views and good walking close by. Feb 2008.
