Property Description

Set down the aptly named Squeezy Belly Alley, just a few yards from the harbour, this holiday cottage has been renovated and has many charming features. The holiday cottage is set in a row of properties in the heart of picturesque Port Isaac which is the setting for the TV series Doc Martin, with its array of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Ideally situated to visit the many attractions this area has to offer including mythical Tintagel, Boscastle, Padstow and the Camel Trail. Shops 20 yards, pub 30 yards.

Cosy beamed living/dining room with Fatso stove in stone fireplace and tiled floor. Compact kitchen area with tiled floor. First floor: Twin bedroom (for 1+1 child bed 5ft 6in long) with metal framed beds, stripped wooden floor and rugs. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. Second floor: Double bedroom with metal framed bed, vaulted ceiling with beams, stripped wooden floor and rugs.

  1. This was my first visit to Cornwall, but I am sure it won’t be my last. The cottage was exactly as described and suited my needs perfectly. The cottage had been carefully prepared and the owner was very helpful in giving me directions, arranging for collection of the key and meeting with me to check that all was ok. Nov 2011.
  2. The location of the cottage is excellent. You have the beautiful harbour within 30 secs of your front door. The cottage very quirky and set on 3 floors. On the ground floor you have the kitchen and lounge/diner. Although space is limited you have everything you need. Although the cottage sleeps 4, its really set up for two people eg one two seater sofa. The master bedroom is beautiful and extremely comfy bed. I’d recommend this for two but not for a family as the stairs are steep so young children could find these difficult. Perfect for a couple and dog friendly. June 2011.
  3. Beautiful cottage, fantastic location near the pub, shops, harbour and gorgeous restaurants. Can’t wait to visit again, though this time was made even more delightful as we got to watch the filming of Doc Martin and met Martin Clunes! Totally recommend the cottage and the location for a memorable holiday. April 2011.
  4. The property had character and was traditional and in keeping with a seaside cottage. The owners had thought carefully about the equipment they supplied and the stove was quirky and added to the quaintness of the place. Feb 2011.

  11. The property was maintained to an excellent 5 star quality. Everything was beautifully clean and appeared new. The location was unbeatable right in the heart of Port Isaac fishing village, which was one of the most gorgeous places in Cornwall especially as the sun sets. The public car park is about a ten minute walk up and down a very steep hill, you can buy a weeks roaming ticket that costs £22.00, This can be purchased by calling a phone number, but only certain credit cards are accepted, you can pay in coins but be warned the local shops won’t give you any change.   13. The information given in this brochure did not reflect just how fantastic the accommodation actually was. The master bedroom was on the top floor, which felt very grand, the kitchen was compact yet felt very high spec. and the general feel of the property was amazing.
