At the rear is an enclosed patio area with garden furniture and barbecue, with a children’s play area just outside. This well-furnished house offers a superb base for exploring Whitby without using the car - the River Esk is a short stroll away, with all the shops, inns and restaurants in the bustling centre on a level walk. The popular Whitby Abbey stands majestically on the headland, and the working harbour is popular all year round. Further afield, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington offer varied entertainment for all the family, whilst the quaint fishing villages and rugged coastline offer plenty of opportunity for fishing and bird watching. The North Yorks Moors and Heartbeat country offer lovely peaceful countryside to explore by car, bike or on foot. Shop 600 yards, pub 200 yards, restaurant 0.25 miles.

  2. Excellent for walking into Whitby and not having to bother with a car, peaceful area and very spacious accommodation for a 7 of us. Everything you could possibly need for a weekend away (including books, games etc. for the kids and play park just outside)in the accommodation. Hopefully will return sometime. March 2012.

  4. A beautiful town house, very comfortable and spacious. Everything you would expect from a home from home experience. Very well located and only a walking distance away to Whitby town & harbour. The view from the rear garden was lovely, overlooking the harbour and access to a childrens playground. The Magpie restaurant is a must, but make sure you book a table in advance, otherwise you would be queing for some time. We visited Gotham (where Heartbeat the series was filmed) which was not more than a 20 minute drive from Whitby. Scarborough was also lovely and we also visited Sea Life.   6. Great location close to the river and to the town. Plenty of parking space. The house had a well equipped kitchen and useful utility room and some books and games in the living room. May 2011.
  7. Fantastic location. Only 10mins into town. Plenty to see and do in Whitby. Highly recommend the Riverside chip shop, not only is it the closest one it’s the best. If you get time have an open top bus tour, the ticket is valid all day. May 2011.

  9. Modern accommodation in a newish townhouse. If you live in a modern house at home and want the same standard on holiday, then this is the property for you! July 2009.
  10. Lovely spacious accommodation with all amenities. Our son loved the park directly to the rear of the property too. It is a reasonable walk into the town, so less able visitors should be aware of this. May 2009.
