Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The cottage was in a beautiful location and was well equipped. May 2010.
  2. The beach in Derrynane, just 2 miles down the road, is one of the best we have ever gone to. It was clean with loads of activities. The cottage has a magnificient view over the bay. The mountain behind the cottage is magnificient on clear days. July 2007.
  3. Just to say that the owners were lovely people and made us very welcome. We also found it amazing that the cottage had been in the owners family since it was built over 200 years ago, and that was where he was born! The cottage sits on a hillside in absolutely idyllic scenery and was a really great spot for a stress free holiday! Sept 2007.
  4. The location was great, the views are stunning. The cottage has a very welcoming homely feel to it. The peat fire makes for a very warm and cosy night in. It was home from home, the pictures in the brochure and on the web-site really does’nt do the cottage or the location any favors. The walk up the mountain at the back is well worth a try, the views from the top are breath taking. The walk along Derryanne beach, is relaxing and interesting. It took about 45 minutes to walk along the road to Caherdaniel, where a nice meal and a warm welcome will be waiting at The Blind Piper. 15 mins in the other direction from the cottage, and you get to the Scariff Inn, the view over Derryanne Bay must be seen. From the cottage you can drive The Ring of Kerry, but remember to go Anti-Clock wise. This means your going the same way as the bus, which is a great idea as at times the roads get very narrow and winding, and it can be a little scary when a great big bus is heading towards you. Sept 2007.
  5. Absolutely magnificent views from the cottage. Beautiful scenery in a tranquil environment. April 2007.
