In an elevated position at the end of a quiet lane, it has views to the Mendips and Bristol Channel, and boasts its own large garden. Set on a working smallholding, the footpath outside leads directly on to the Quantock Hills, with walks, riding and wild deer. Trips to the coast (5 miles), Dunster Castle, Cheddar Gorge and the Somerset Levels easily accessible. Nether Stowey (½ mile) has shops and pubs.

Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

  1. An impressive and spacious property with comfortable catering for our party of seven - this is the most important confirmation. However, we did not appreciate how narrow and awkward the route to the property was from the village! We spent the whole week dreading that we would meet a vehicle coming in the opposite direction!   7. Very spacious, practical property with large playroom off kitchen. Playroom has patio doors out to sheltered garden. Great for small children. Location right by Quantock hills, perfect for cycling. Boiler room is good for clothes drying. Nearest beach is 30 mins drive. Hestercombe Gardens 20 mins drive. Dunster castle 40 mins drive. Notes for families with babies/toddlers: The cot is a wooden barred cot with an old foam mattress, no washable cover and NOT a travel cot. The oven is at ground level and the door gets very hot when in use. The 2 items above didn’t detract from our enjoyment, but I’d have liked to have known both before finding out. Overall I’d really recommend the property, we had a great holiday. March 2011.
