This apartment situated in the heart of the town centre of Isle sur la Sorgue also called the little Venesia, has been completely renovated and furnished to high standard with lots of charm and character is part of the owner’s property but with its own private entrance and access to the shared terrace.

Ideally located for exploring the Luberon: this lovely part of Provence where you can visit all the hilltop villages like Gordes, Roussillon, Ménerbes and Bonnieux make two or three excellent days out. Within walking distance, you find many riverside restaurants where you can sample the local Provence cuisine and you will also find the bustling antique shops (about 400m) and an excellent Sunday morning market.

In July Avignon (9 miles) has an exciting theatre festival and don’t forget to go to the Wednesday market at St Rémy de Provence which is the gateway to some wonderful walking country in the Alpilles (25 minutes). Visit Les Baux de Provence; surrounded by olive groves, there are panoramic views from its limestone rocks over the whole of Provence up to the Mediterranean. Also golf 2km at Saumane. Fly from London City and Southampton (summer only).

All on first floor: Lounge/kitchen/diner, shower room with basin, separate toilet, 1 double bedroom, sofa bed in lounge.

Central heating, all fuel and power included in rent, bed linen and towels included in rent, cot, highchair, colour TV, DVD player, cassette/CD player, washing machine, microwave, shared terrace, outdoor furniture, off road parking for 2 cars. One pet welcome. NB: There are 15 steps to the entrance.

  3. This is a very comfortable apartment with a very pleasant and helpful ownner.We travelled there by train and it is a very short walk from the station. We used buses and trains to get about and visited many interesting places. We are keen walkers and this is an excellent walking area. It wpould be helpful to include directions to the property using public transport. March 2012.
  4. The gite owner is charming and very discreet, however cares very much for her client. She went to a lot of trouble to prepare a barbecue area and equip it for us, even though we had not asked or indeed used it and asked if we were OK as we came and went. The crockery is all very good condition and new, the haberdashery is excellent and the taste of the hostess is impeccable - the apartment was superb. The locality is ideal just a short walk from a superb small town, The eating establishments cater for all tastes and all pockets and although lively its very tasteful. The town is surrounded by the river and very picturesque. Out of town hypermarkets etc are within 6/7 minutes drive away if you want more than the local shops. The surrounding area is breathtaking and beautiful if the visitor is prepared to travel around during their stay. I shall visit this area again and I would not be unhappy staying at this gite again.   9. Wonderful property in fantastic location. Short 5 minute walk to town and easy driving to Avignon, Orange and even Aix-en-Provence. Sept 2009.

In a good position for walking into town for restaurants, bars and shopping but also well situated for visiting places of interest such as Avignon, Arles, the Camarge,etc. The property is very clean, well furnished with all the kitchen equipment one would need for a self-catering holiday. The main room comprises a lounge, dining space and kitchen. There is a separate toilet, modern shower room (with plenty of hot water) and bedroom (with a comfortable bed). Outside a table and chairs are covered with a canopy to shade from sun and 2 deck chairs. These are in a courtyard shared with the owner but it has to be said we seldom saw her so it seemed very private. The property is surrounded by a high fence: access to the property is through a gate which is integral to the fence so it feels very safe when inside- no fear of belongings being stolen whilst we were out. There is ample space to park off road next to the property. July 2009.
