Property Description

The small seaside village of Instow, with its stretch of golden sand and dunes, provides the setting for this lovely house. Adjoining another property on Marine Parade, it overlooks the beach, making it ideal for a family seaside holiday. Memories are to be made in this very unique and unspoilt part of North Devon; water sports, sailing, fishing, golf and riding can all be enjoyed locally, with scenic walking and cycling along the original coastal railway, now forming part of the famous ‘Tarka Trail’. Bideford, Barnstaple and Westward Ho! offer their own blend of attractions close by, while just yards from the house are two excellent restaurants specialising in seafood and offering fine views across the bay towards Appledore.

  1. An excellent location with stunning views. Well equipped. Main bedroom small for 2 people but views and position make up for any shortfalls. Good car parking although entry and exit onto driveway from single lane is very tight and could be wider. Nov 2012.

  3. Property and location both first class, plenty of information provided to make the holiday a great one. Enjoyed a great day out at the milky way theme park also the swimming pool at Croyde, both recommended by the cottage owners. All in all a great holiday. May 2012.
  4. This is our ideal property and we rebooked on the day we got home! Although the weather was terrible we still went onto the beach several times a day and tried to visit a few surrounding places. We loved the space in the property and the views and all the home comforts. April 2012.
  5. This is a lovely house in a fabulous location and DOG FRIENDLY! The sandy beach at the bottom of the garden is dog friendly all year and was lovely. the village itself is unspoilt and has nice quality eateries. this is the best rental property we have ever stayed in ..so much so that we have already booked for 2013! April 2012.
  6. An attractive property in a superb location - watching the sunset over Appledore across the estuary of the Torridge River was a nightly ritual. There are three first class pubs / restaurants within 100 yards and you can lose the extra calories on the Tarka Trail or the vast (dog friendly) beach across the road from Instow House. The property is described as suitable for 4+2, but I think it would be a bit cramped trying to fit in the +2. April 2012.

  8. Nice cosy cottage with nice views, sitting in the window with a glass of wine watching the sun go down is a must! Hire bikes and cycle on the Tarka trail is fun. 3 pubs a few doors away all good food. Feb 2012.
