Property Description

Hycliffe is a tastefully furnished, single storey detached holiday property with the beach a few yards away and extensive sea views over Point Clear Bay and the bird sanctuary. Known as the sunshine coast, this part of Essex is a hidden gem and Hycliffe is ideally situated to visit the nearby resorts of Frinton, Walton-on-the-Naze and Clacton or for exploring nearby Constable Country and the county town of Colchester with its castle, museum and zoo. Ideal for cyclists, walkers and bird watchers, visitors can also take a trip by a foot ferry (seasonal) to Mersea Island and Brightlingsea. Shops 200 yards, pub ½ mile.

Electric heaters (£30per week). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. Ample parking. No smoking. NB: Slopes in grounds and external steps to doors.

  5. Great cottage, excellent location with great views of the sea. Only a few yards from the beach and a nice cafe only three doors away. We had good weather and the nightly walks with the dog along the beach were a joy. The cottage was well furnished and very comfortable except for the sofa in the lounge which we would recommend changing. The cottage was clean and warm and the housekeeper friendly and informative. Highly recommend this property. June 2011.

  9. After very accurate directions, the property was easily accessible, excellent layout and beautifully clean. All equipment for a time away from home was supplied, as was local information and maps. Although not required in this instance, there were many boxed games available, as well as TV and other items as advertised. In all, we rated this bungalow very highly and would try to use it if we visit the area again. May 2010.
