Property Description

Dating back over 200 years this traditional stone built cottage enjoys a peaceful and tranquil location in the owners private grounds on the edge of the village of Tosside. The property has been carefully converted to provide well equipped and very comfortable accommodation where you are assured a warm welcome at any time. Set in this unspoilt rural area and surrounded by lush countryside with horses grazing in the nearby pastures this is an excellent base to walk and tour the whole of the Dales, Lake District, West Coast and the Forest of Bowland (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Walks start literally from the doorstep, with footpaths, cycle trails, golf, fishing and bird watching nearby and the Settle Loop is now open to walkers, cyclists and horse riders. A spacious flower filled patio overlooks the landscaped duck pond where you can relax and dine alfresco, alternatively the local country inns offer good quality meals. The neighbouring caravan park is only a 5 minute walk where there is a shop and pub/restaurant, whilst the market towns of Settle and Skipton offer a good choice of shops, restaurants, tea-rooms and pubs and are only a short drive away.

This property can be booked together with Magpie Cottage (DC3952) to accommodate up to six guests.

Ground Floor: With oil fired central heating and comprising:
Sitting room:
with electric stove, digital TV, DVD, radio/CD player and a selection of books.
Dining kitchen: with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washer/dryer and iron/ironing board.

First Floor: Bedroom 1: with double bed and views across to Pendle Hill.
En-suite shower room: with WC, basin and heated towel rail.

Hairdryer. Bed linen and towels included (towels are not provided for short breaks). All electricity included in the rent.Private water supply. Patio area (shared with DC3952) with table and chairs for each property. Secure bike storage. Non smokers only please. Private parking. Sorry no pets.
