  1. Lovely break and very welcoming. Look forward to returning soon. May 2012.
  2. Very tranquil place with very friendly hosts. Everything great. Narrow bridge from one direction. Also Garmin tries to take you down the very old cobbled green lane which cannot be traversed. May 2012.
  3. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Slightly snug for four maybe but the location is so good that you probably wouldn’t want to stay in. We had a warm welcome with a cream tea and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Very peaceful and a real recharge to our batteries! Sept 2011.
  4. They were a truly lovely couple who were so friendly and helpful but not intrusive on our space - Everything about the cottage was perfect for us, and was lovely to escape from our hectic life and breathe, chill, relax, and just be ourselves this place was our little bolt hole and we loved it. Sept 2011.
  5. A very nice cosy and comfortable cottage. Very friendly owners. Our children liked the swimming pool very much. There a many things to do or see, the variety of Dartmoor, old towns, countyside and beaches is nice. Aug 2011.
  6. Grade 2 listed building, annex adjoing owner’s cottage, situated in secluded valley. Owners (and cats) very friendly. Good centre for visiting south Devon. July 2011.
  7. An ideal holiday cottage to explore Devon’s delightful countryside and gorgeous beaches. Bigbury-on-Sea is well worth a visit. May 2011.
  8. We had a lovely time, beautiful place and have already recommended it to others and will continue to do so. April 2011.
  9. Great location for both the coast and moorland. 5 minutes from a good pub, which has a good tasty menu at a reasonable price. The owners are really good hosts and nothing is too much for them. The cottage has loads of character and is warm and snug we particularly loved sitting in front of the wood burner and the end of a day exploring the amazing moorland and coastal views. The in-property booklet is well worth a read, descriptions accurate and very funny a good laugh was had by us both. Feb 2011.
  10. Lovely personal touches on arrival, scones cream, wine, jam and milk, tea, coffee and sugar all provided. Beautiful setting. Really friendly hosts. Bed was wonderfully comfy. Really great short weekend in a good location. Feb 2011.
  11. Although at first appearances, we wondered if perhaps it would be a little too ’rural and basic’ for our family, we found ourselves loving the property and glorious peaceful surroundings. Serves us right, never judge a book by its cover as they say! Beds were particularly fabulous, don’t sleep that well at home! Sep 2010.
  12. Charming period cottage, full of character and all mod cons. July 2010.
  13. A most lovely cottage, beautifully clean and furnished. July 2010.
  14. Beautiful cottage in scenic surroundings... just what i’d imagined. Loved the style and decor, loved the friendliness of owners and relaxed manner. Would of loved to have stayed for longer, very hospitable people and delicious scones on arrival. What more could you want. Feb 2010.
  15. Cosy, warm and well equipped. Practical, friendly hosts who were very helpful. Location lovely. Dec 2009.
  16. As the weather was not very good it was marvellous to have the use of an indoor swimming pool in the grounds. Our grand-daughters loved the pool. Looking out of the cottage windows at fields where horses and sheep grazed and not hearing traffic noise, just peace and tranquility both day and night-time, means so much these days. July 2009.
  17. The facilities provided in this delightful cottage were of a very high standard. July 2009.
  18. The owners truly care about the holidaymakers and their enjoyment of the property - they really go that extra mile. Very warm welcome by owners with cream teas and wine! Lovely, helpful people who will leave you alone or chat happily if you want too. Every need catered for in very well equipped cottage. Everything clean and fresh. Aug 2009.
  19. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and helpful throughout our holiday. May 2009.
  20. Warm, cosy, delightful, secluded. Jan 2009.
