Situated in the lovely Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer, this quaint cottage enjoys a central yet private location within easy walking distance of shops and pubs. Furnished and equipped to a good standard to ensure as comfortable and relaxing holiday as possible, the detached cottage makes the perfect base for exploring the many delights of the Northern Highlands. Visit the Pump Room where you can sample the waters, the Highland Museum of Childhood, the Pictish Eagle Stone or just take a stroll around the village to see some of the fabulous Victorian architecture. A popular base for walkers and mountain bikers. Shop 10 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

  1. Ideally placed for touring the very north of Scotland. Cottage ideally placed in village close to shops and restaurants. Sept 2012.
  2. A lovely wee gem of a cottage in a beautiful village. The location is right in the middle of the village but at no time was it noisy - except on Saturday night when the pipe band play in the square right at the end of the garden - what fab entertainment right on your doorstep. The Red Poppy Restaurant and the Victorian Station Cafe were the best places to eat. Most of the hotels in the village just cater for the bus tours and a couple remind you of ’Faulty Towers’. July 2012.
  3. The property is so pretty in a lovely, friendly village. It is very spacious with a lovely warm, relaxing atmosphere. The cottage was equipped with every possible household item you could think of. Even towels are provided! It was ideal for the purpose of my visit to Scotland. I recommend this cottage very highly. June 2012.
  4. We had a good time. The home was nice and clean (the kitchen needs a bit work to be done). The info material gave a few ideas but we had our own maps for nice hiking/walking tours in the Western Highlands even we could not finish part of the tours because of the weather (to much water, to much snow still). So we need to come back to finish our tours. May 2012.
  5. Stayed at Honeybee Cottage early October 2011. Strathpeffer is a hidden gem. We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner who gave us a guided tour of the cottage and how everything worked. Cottage was excellent, warm, cosy and comfortable felt just like home. After days out cycling or walking it was pleasure to return and sit back and relax. Would recommend a visit to the Red Poppy restaurant just at the side of the pavillon, the meal was brilliant. Also a visit to Ullapool, we were lucky because our weather was dry and sunny. We will definitely be returning in the future. Oct 2011.
