Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. A lovely cosy cottage in a fabulous location, we loved the isolation. Oct 2012.
  2. This delightful cottage welcomes you as a home. Evenings are spent round the open fire doing jigsaws. The cottage is small for 5 adults and a child but no problem for a close family, an excellent family bonding time. Very interesting area especially contrasting ’Chocolate Box’ with the derelict/disused industrial quarrying and mining. Roll on next year! Sept 2012.
  3. A great cottage in a fabulous location with superb walking straight from the front door. It’s easily possible to not use the car for the whole week if you didn’t want to. I have already booked to come back later in the year to enjoy the Autumn colours. April 2011.
  4. This lovely cottage is ideal for the family. Comfortable, great place. Feb 2011.
  5. The cottage was lovely - pretty and homely and we made good use of the open fire! The location is superb - stunning views and so many walks on the doorstep. Jan 2011.
  6. Cosy cottage that made you feel at home straight away. Not too new and modern, lovely cottage charm. Lovely real fire. The location was so peaceful, no light or noise pollution, slept better than I have for ages. Sept 2010.
  7. Beautifully wild, the unadvertised quarry was truly fascinating. July 2010.
  8. Very roomy property. June 2010.
  9. Great location, well equipped, clean, tidy. Perfect. Feb 2010.
  10. Nice cottage, very homely. Jan 2010.
  11. Because of the time of year, and the weather we really enjoyed the open fire. The location was excellent and had we visited in summer we would have enjoyed the garden. Dec 2009.
  12. Kitchen is a bit cramped for sitting six and is a bit cold and not very well lit. Otherwise, very good location; safe for the children. Oct 2009.
  13. Good sized bedrooms and well furnished. Found kitchen/diner a bit small but perfectly manageable. Sept 2009.
  14. The cottage is very homely, with a lovely sitting area and very well stocked kitchen. The location of cottage was fantastic with amazing low and high level walks from the door. We are already thinking of booking again for next year. Sept 2009.
  15. It was very peaceful and romantic situated. We liked very much the living room with the open fire. Sept 2009.

  18. Beautiful peaceful location. Great to have walks from the door. Comfortable and warm accommodation. Sept 2009.
  19. The peace and quiet was wonderful. Sheep walking out the front, and beautiful birds including a great spotted woodpecker out the back. Just the rest that we needed. Plenty of room for four adults. Oct 2008.
  20. Superb location. We did not need to use the car for several days. We saw deer & red squirrel from the back garden. April 2008.
