Property Description

Within a mile of Lulworth Cove, Hill View is set in a peaceful spot with views over the Purbeck hills. It is a very light and airy holiday home and has a pretty garden. Visit places such as the seaside town of Swanage with its sandy beach, Durlston Country Park and famous Steam Railway which takes you to NT Corfe Castle, Saxon town of Wareham to Monkey World and Tank Museum. Shop 700 yards and pub 300 yards.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with patio doors. Kitchen with patio door. Four steps to 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 single with additional single (2ft 6in). Bathroom with shower over corner bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Large patio with small grassed area and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Steps to enclosed grassed area.

  1. Hill View has a very good enclosed garden, with a large kitchen window overlooking it, making it idea to watch the children. We also enjoyed not having to worry about them inside, as there are no internal stairs. Lots to do in the area for families i.e steam railway, swannery, monkey world etc. June 2012.
  2. The property is in a quiet cul de sac and is of a high standard. Lulworth Cove is a 20 minute walk away with a well stocked general store on the way. A good pub with a fine selection of draft bitters and cider is a three minute walk. West Lulworth is within reach of many of the attractions of South Dorset. June 2012.
  3. Would recommend this cottage to anyone as it’s very comfortable and has beautiful views. The owners went out of their way to be helpful and even helped me with a difficult loading job on my car! April 2012.
  4. Central location for the area. Very clean and comfortable accommodation and made welcome by the owner who called round to check we had everything we needed. Feb 2012.
  5. Good, but we were surprised by the fact it was a split level bungalow - my mother is 86 and we would prefer everything on one level. However, only 5 steps and she could cope - but with the next booking I will make sure there are no steps inside the flat or bungalow we choose. Sept 2011.

Warm, had a homely feel to it, location. everything you can think of was provided in the kitchen, pots and pans, plates etc. The heating was more than good having to turn it down cos it was so warm. All in all a great place to stay if you like peace and quit and time to get away from everything. I would recommend the walk along the coast... Dec 2010.
  11. The bungalow is located in a quiet road, off the main road through the village - ideal! It is very comfortably furnished and a home away from home. We loved being within walking distance of Lulworth Cove. Aug 2010.
  12. Bright airy property; well equipped; pretty, well maintained garden with peaceful views - nice to sit out on patio. Chairs/sofas not very comfortable but otherwise excellent bungalow. We liked the fact that the bedrooms were up a few stairs from the living room/kitchen - gives a bit of privacy at night for adults! Owner friendly and helpful, location convenient but quiet. We will come again. July 2010.

  18. We loved the fact that not only was it clean and well kept but welcoming and it felt so homely (lots of holiday properties don’t feel lived in or like someone’s home). Also there were so many little extras left around to help us out - dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tablecloth, bread knife, pegs and basket for putting washing out etc. It was great. Owners were really helpful - even lending us a surf board for the boys to take to the beach. Also the location was great - lots to do locally with beach, castle, walks, 1940s village and monkey world but also well situated for Weymouth, Swanage, Corfe Castle and Bournemouth - so loads to see and do. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely go again. Aug 2009.
  19. Relaxing, quiet location. Property was as in brochure, well equipped, generally comfortable and spacious. Patio and gardens attractive - would have been relaxing to sit out, but it rained nearly every day. Super shower and corner bath, well equipped kitchen. Bright and airy. We would book again.
