Hill Top Cottage is the quintessential rural retreat. The open plan living space focuses upon a superb wood burning stove set in a large inglenook fireplace; perfect to relax in front of and watch the flames dance after a day exploring this simply beautiful part of Northumberland. The breathtaking long distance vistas can be admired from both the lounge and the master bedroom too, where there is a comfortable four poster bed. There is also a twin bedroom along with a small bathroom at the rear of the cottage making this property a suitable choice for families as well as couples.
Originally built in 1923, this delightful cottage once belonged to the Maling family; renowned for their unique pottery ware. It has since been fully renovated to provide a cosy haven for relaxation. Hill Top Cottage is positioned on the fringe of the picturesque village of Thropton where there are two pubs serving good food, a garage and a shop providing local produce.
