Situated along a quiet lane, this holiday cottage is the annex to Highfield House, a handsome house amongst almost 10 acres of land. The views are rural and far reaching, with lanes and footpaths into the New Forest leading from the house. The village of Redlynch is ¼mile away and has a good selection of shops, pubs and takeaways, while being a pleasant walk across the fields. The New Forest is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the smallest National Park which boasts many animals including the famous New Forest ponies and deer. It was once a royal hunting ground for King William 1st. It is a rare area of both heath lands, woodlands and is superb for walkers, cyclists and riders. The market town of Salisbury is nearby, with its magnificent church spire and cathedral, half-timbered buildings, and excellent shopping. Within easy reach, the Dorset beaches of the south coast including Sandbanks, Highcliffe, Mudeford and Poole are only 45 minutes away. Nearby are the world heritage site of Stonehenge, Paultons Bark, Beaulieu and Longleat, as well as being easy reach to Southampton, Weymouth and Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. Shop, pub and restaurant 1/4 mile.
