  1. Lovely property and suited us and our two dogs, who also had a marvellous time. Owner was lovely and left us to our own devices but was always available if needed (we had no reason to call upon). Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits were there on our arrival which was a lovely touch. Also note that you don’t need to take any cleaning products, foil or cling film with you, this was all there which we hadn’t expected so you can save some room in your luggage! Cottage is in the middle of nowhere, down a country lane, and very quiet. Wellies are a must if you plan to go walking off the beaten track. Thank you for a lovely stay! Nov 2012.
  2. This is a very well equipped cottage. Beautifully located in a just-off-the-beaten-track spot and yet only a few miles from shops, pubs etc. Well placed for exploring North Devon with some very good beaches about 40 minutes drive away at Westward Ho!. The owner is on site and very friendly and helpful. We would certainly go back again. June 2012.
  3. Just what we wanted a nice break. Lovely people that own the farm, couldnt do enough to help you. Lovely dog friendly place to stay. We have been there four times now, and always clean and fresh. When we arrived there where eggs, shortbread and a pint of milk, very nice touch. Thank you. Sept 2011.
  4. Very good. Owners more than helpful, the cottage full of little things like eggs, coffee etc to make the stay pleasant. Lovely tennis court, putting green and ground for the dog to run about in. We would recommend this cottage to our friends. Warm comfortable and spotlessly clean. August 2011.
  5. A lovely cottage, we would like to return. Every comfort catered for and very clean and well kept. June 2011.
  6. Nice size, well stocked, lovely views. Oct 2010.
  7. It was exactly as described in the brochure. The owner/s were on site to welcome us on arrival and did not intrude during our stay. They assured us that if anything went wrong they would be there to fix it, but happily we did not have any reason to test them out on this. Oct 2010.
  8. Everything about the cottage was clean and welcoming. The owners greeted us personally which is always nice, and they provided ’extras’, such as milk, eggs, tea and coffee, to make settling in easy. Sept 2010.
  9. Great feeling of generally being ’away from it all’. Very relaxing. May 2010.
  10. Probably the best cottage we have booked from welcome cottages so far. very pretty and set in a rural location providing us with the peace we required fo our holiay. from the greeing we received from the owners to the information about the area left in situ for us to use at our leisure, everything was just right. May 2010.
  11. The property was very clean. All cooking utensills were clean as well as the cooker. May 2010.
  12. Clean, warm and comfortable. March 2010.
  13. Excellent in ensuring that milk, tea, coffey, biscits and egges were there in place when we arrived and the information was available where we could get some shopping. Oct 2009.
  14. The accommodation was fantastic and the area of Devon was stunning, I wouldn’t hesitate in using your website again and have passed it onto various colleagues, relative and friends. June 2009.
  15. Amazing place to spend your holiday and an excellent cottage. I already recommended it to friends! Feb 2009.
  16. This was a fantastic break in a beautiful cottage with fabulous hospitality from the owners, nothing was too much trouble for them and the area was exactly what we were looking for, peace and tranquility. A definite recommendation for those who are looking to escape it all, but have the opportunity to go and explore also. Jan 2009.
  17. The weather was absolutely horrendous! This did not stop us having a brilliant time, we wouldn’t have thought to book a cottage in a rural location but having a young pup the cottage and it’s location proved to be absolute diamonds! In fact it gave us the perfect opportunity to discover and explore rural Devon away from the "beachy" traditional holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the very muddy North Devon Show and would recommend it to anyone. Word of warning- wellies are a must! Aug 2008.
  18. Warm welcome but no interference. Lovely location. Most of all we really appreciated being able to take two dogs, so many places only allow one. Oct 2007.
  19. Could not have wished for a better cottage - shame about the non-existent views! Sept 2007.
  20. The accommodation was fantastic and the surroundings were superb!! A definite must!! June 2007.
