Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The barn was ideal for 6 adults and 3 children under 3. There were 4 families in all and the barn provided plenty of room to spread out. The bed linen and towels were of a very high standard. The Owners were helpful but not intrusive. Several NT properties near. Sherborne is a delightful town to wander round. If we had wanted to explore further there are many towns within easy distance. We were very lucky with the weather during our stay. Sunshine all the time. March 2012.
  2. The properly was beautifully decorated & furnished with lots of space. The owners of the property are very close-by which is a help. March 2012.
  3. Beautiful property; lots of character! We had a truly memorable stay. Plenty of room for a large family party to have a great time! March 2012.
  4. Lovely converted barn which has all you need re cooking facilities, washing etc. Provided a travel cot for my baby and even a changing mat, which was really good too. We did have difficulty trying to find the barn as it is in the country but with a little help from the locals we found it. The person who owns it lives at the end of the garden extremely nice and helpful, even knocked to see if everything was ok for us. I would recommend this barn to large family party or friends of 10. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. March 2011.
  5. Superb accommodation, excellent host, would recommend to anyone. Match 2011.
  6. We use your company every year as a group of 3/4 families, we have done this for the past 8 years and this was by far the best equipped, cleanest, and most beautiful house EVER!! Feb 2011.
  7. As a group of 6 adults we stayed at Higher Farm Barn for a weekend in January, having booked it to attend a wedding nearby. The property was excellent. It was warm and cosy as you would hope in winter but offered a real sense of space. The reception areas are large, and very well furnished. The living room felt snug despite its size and encouraged you to kick off your shoes and get comfy on the sofas. We cooked on the Friday evening and had plenty of space in the kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and the beds extremely comfortable with good bedlinen. It is situated in a small hamlet that is quiet and peaceful but only 10 minutes from Wincanton and the A303. We would throughly recommend this accommodation. The owners were on hand but not intrusive. We are looking forward to returning again next year for a trip to Wincanton races and a better explore of the surrounding area. Jan 2011.
  8. The property is set in a beautiful location and is absolutely stunning! The main entrance hall is wondeful as are all the living areas. We made particular use of the games room. Dec 2010.
  9. The house and garden were awesome in every respect. Well presented, spacious and comfortable with lots of really nice features like the wood burner, pool table and piano. The photos did not do the property justice. The house was close enough to Milborne Port (3/4 mile)to walk to a pub or get the papers. Sherborne was a ten minute drive away for the retail therapy junkies. The owners were approachable and very helpful both over the ’phone and in person. I cannot recommend the property highly enough, we are already looking for an excuse to go back. Oct 2010.
  10. Quality accommodation and furnishings. Spacious and clean. Welcome hamper for us on arrival. Owners were particularly helpful and friendly. Sept 2010.
  11. First class in every aspect. June 2010.
