Property Description

Delightful three bedroom holiday apartment set in an elevated position with lovely views over the Hope Valley. The lodge has been fitted and equipped to a very good standard with its own entrance, parking and garden. Just 750 yards walk down hill to the popular village of Hathersage with shops, pub and heated outdoor swimming pool (summer months). An ideal base to explore all the Peak District has to offer. Golf and horse riding nearby.

This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

12 steps to entrance. All on ground floor: Living/dining room with French doors. Kitchen. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one (5ft) with en-suite shower room and toilet, one with additional single bunk above (for +1 child), 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Satellite TV. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Lawned garden with patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: 6 steep steps to garden (no handrail), alternative access available.

  2. Very comfortable and cosy apartment with lovely views. A steep but quick walk down to the village of Hathersage. Near lots of nice places esp. Derwent Reservoir, Mam Tor, Stannage Edge and Sheffield. One bedroom has only tiny window and bed a bit soft but otherwise good. March 2012.

  5. Fantastic apartment (lower half of a house with owners living above you_very friendly). Apartment has French doors opening directly onto an enclosed and private garden. Great facilities but only thing missing was somewhere to dry clothes other than the tumble drier. Also, for those with mobility problems, be aware of steps down to garden and steep walk up from the village. July 2011.

  9. It had everything we required to make our stay comfortable. It was nicely presented and very clean. There was plenty of information on things to do in the area in the cottage. Plenty of choice of reading matter and games to play also. In short everything you coulde wish for and more. Aug 2010.
  10. The accommodation was warm, clean and comfortable. The property is private with a garden for the dog which captures the evening sunshine. The sound insulation between us and the owners is impressive since it coped with the noisy excitement of an active 10 year old. The views across the Hope Valley are magnificent. April 2010.
  11. The property is very well equipped and ideally situated for touring the local region. Of note, i was initially concerned when i booked this property as there were no external pictures on the internet, but once we arrived it is self evident the reason for this as the property is cut into the hillside so no direct views. The caretaker was very nice and extremely helpful and we would definitely return to this property for a further break. Jan 2010.

  15. The cottage was very comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for the week, including full Sky television, DVD player, CD player, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier. The owners were very friendly and willing to help with anything (and had a lovely dog). The cottage was fantastically clean, and the rooms very comfortable. I would recommend this cottage highly.
