This charming secluded single storey holiday cottage is situated in the village of Cockburnspath, just 0.75 miles from the small sandy beach at Cove. Adjacent to the owner’s home, this ground floor property is furnished to a good standard, and boasts a superb private rear garden. Ideal for walking enthusiasts, the property is located at the end of the Southern Upland Way, with the John Muir Way and Pennine Way offering lowland and coastal walking. The area is a good base from which to tour the Lothians, Borders and Northumberland. Golfing, horse riding, quadbiking and bird watching are available. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 1.5 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Open fire in living room (initial fuel included October-April). Electric central heating and electricity by meter reading. Bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Patio and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. NB: Low doorways.

  13. The cottage was in a delightful area of the Scottish Borders. It was close to many attractions and easily accessible to places such as Edinburgh, Berwick upon Tweed, St. Abbs and Eyemouth. The weather was good for most of the week and we were able to make use of the garden to the property. June 2009.
