Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. The cottage was in a great location with stunning views. Its location on sky gave easy access to both the Island and the mainland. May 2012.
  2. We enjoyed the comfort and location of the cottage and could recommend this property for anyone. for us the two bathrooms was a pleasant bonus. April 2012.
  3. Heron Bay Cottage was very spacious and comfortable for the three of us with fantastic views from the sitting room, the dining room and both bedrooms. We enjoyed having a log/peat fire each evening as the weather was chilly. The cottage was very clean and we appreciated the "extras" of tea, coffee and milk etc which were left for our arrival. The bonus was being able to walk down the garden path and on to the shore when the tide was out. We would certainly go again to the cottage. May 2012.
  4. Heron Bay was ideally situated for us in a quiet location. We could go for a walk along the beach/estuary at the bottom of the garden when the tide was out. There was plenty of wildlife to watch. The cottage was very comfortable. The welcome pack which consisted of tea, coffee, sugar, bread and milk for our arrival was a valuable touch. The kitchen was better equipped than mine at home. Having an upstairs bathroom with a bath and a downstairs bathroom with a shower meant no queuing. The nearest shopping area was Broadford 3 miles away a quick trip in the car or a lovely walk along the beach, over the stream and on the inlet via Waterloo. We travelled to as many places as we could fit in during our week stay on the Isle of Skye and got wet every single day due to the mists and the rain and the fog and the wind but there was sunshine and there were rainbows and we had a fabulous time. We saw otters, eagles seals, get up early and go explore, we went very early in the season with a lot of places not yet open but we still found we hadnt enough of time to discover the whole of Skye, get out and experience as much of it as you can, you will love it. We would definitely go back and definitely stay at Heron Bay again, its ideal. March 2012.
  5. The cottage led to the estuary where we saw Sea Otters and Seals and numerous birds and fossils, and the sun sets were fantastic. While the island had loads to offer and visit. March 2012.
  6. Heron Bay Cottage is a wonderful cottage. It is warm and cosy with beautiful views and a lovely open fire. It is in a superb location in Skye. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with an extremely well equipped modern kitchen. There was plenty of hot water and little things like towels, soap were all provided. We would thoroughly recommend Heron Bay Cottage. Jan 2012.
