This contemporary three storey town house has a large decked area and separate first floor balcony overlooking the River Wye. Ideally placed a 5-minute walk to the centre of Hay, known as ’town of books’ and also for its annual literary festivals. Two long distance footpaths (Offa’s Dyke Path and the Wye Valley Walk), almost pass the front door. Cycle and canoe hire, fishing, horse riding and organised pursuits locally. Shops, pubs and restaurants ¼ mile.

Steep, turning stairs to first floor: Living room with patio doors and wooden floor. 1 double bedroom with French doors and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Steep, turning stairs to second floor: 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 2 single, one with Velux and low sloping ceiling. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Satellite TV. DVD and small library. MP3 docking station. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine.   6. Please warn holidaymakers that there is poor mobile reception in this house and in Hay in general - this will enable them to make alternative arrangements in order to contact people. Otherwise everything was really excellent and we hope to use this house again. Sept 2011.

  9. On arrival, from the outside the area surrounding the property does look like a building site, which can be off putting. Once inside the property is excellent. I would certainly reconmend our stay to friends and would stay again if I had activities booked at Black Mountain. June 2011.

  18. Very well equipped and everything was to a very high standard. We were able to eat out on the deck several times and there was agood view of the river. The house was close to town and we didn’t need to use the car. Welcome pack was ready for us so we could make a cup of tea before we unpacked. Aug 2010.
