  1. Quiet setting with beautiful views. Cottage very comfortable & attrractive. We loved the open fire. Oct 2012.
  2. The cottage has lovely views, right next to Hadrian’s wall. Great walks. The village of Brampton is close with good places to eat. The lounge is huge. The cottage is very well presented and the owners made us very welcome when we arrived but although next door, they didn’t intrude. You have to be prepared to get in the car and travel to get to places of interest, but worth the travel. Must see is Keswick and the lakes. July 2012.
  3. Lovely welcoming cottage, scones and wine left by owner, very peacful great views. Dec 2011.
  4. This place is a real treat, from the outstanding views and peace and tranquility to the very accomodating owner who even provides a bottle of wine and jam scones as a welcome to all her guests. There are many walks from literally the doorstep so great if you love walking. Sept 2011.
  5. Location is excellent, views great. Well maintained, facilities in the cottage are excellent. Aug 2011.
  6. A brilliant relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings and in EXCELLENT accommodation !!! In a fantanstic, peacefull location but only a 5 min drive to the village and 20 mins to Carlisle centre. The cottage was so cosy, comfortable and clean - we all just ’swithced off’! And we looked forward to the evenings to get the log fire lit. We went with our 2 teenage children and they really enjoyed the cottage and the location. They liked Carlisle centre for the shops and the park and skate park. They also enjoyed the walks and BBQs on the patio.. We also have a 12 month old lab and he just had the time of his life - walks in the fields at the back of the cottage and walks along stretches of Hadrians wall. He looked SO sad for days after we got home.. 100% recomend for a chill out, relaxing, switch off holiday and we will ALL be returning. P Burrows. May 2011.

Accessability to walks in open spaces and beautiful countryside is just outside the door, also the Lakes are only a drive away as is Carlisle for shopping. Highly recommended. May 2008.
  14. The cottage is stunning and the views are breath taking. Our welcome was lovely... scones with jam and cream and a bottle of wine. Would go back for sure and would recommend it to anyone. Sept 2008.
