With peace, tranquillity and a good standard of home comforts, visitors are assured a totally relaxing break in this romantic hideaway. The surrounding area is worth exploring, with the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, York, Thirsk, Harrogate, Ripon, Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. Fishing available on site free of charge. Shop 41/2 miles, pubs and restaurant 21/2 miles. Can be booked with property ref 25136 to accommodate up to 8 guests.

This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

All on ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed and French doors/dining room/kitchen with beams and wooden floor throughout. 1 double (5ft) bedroom with French doors. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Underfloor oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Enclosed courtyard garden with patio and furniture. Parking (2 cars). No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Small trough in garden.

  1. Lovely cottage, perfect seclusion, great owners. Everything provided that you need, beautifully fitted out with quality fixtures and furniture. Brilliant location close to York, Harrogate etc, and very relaxing. Highly recommended. July 2012.
  2. Secluded gem everything you could wish for and more. If your looking for peace and quite this is a must. Only minor problem maybe with mobile phone networks. Orange and Vodafone not accessed in the property had to go walk about to find a signal. Fine unless you have an emergency. Otherwise excellent and will be back. July 2012.
  3. The cottage was out in the wilds of nowhere, but was so peaceful and quiet. I watched Red Kites flying every day. I also saw so many stars in the sky at night, it was really breathtaking!! The cottage itself was lovely and warm with comfortable settees and well-equipped kitchen. The bed was also very comfortable, I think a very important consideration. It was light and very spacious with French doors out onto the patio which would have been lovely, but for the rain!!!! April 2012.
  4. This is a converted tractor barn to the very highest of standards. The underfloor heating meant that you never had to worry about the weather upon your return. Every modern convenience was provided. It was way off the beaten track on a working farm with 3 coarse fishing lakes and woodlands adjacent. Pheasants, hares, red kites and partridges greeted us every day. Feb 2012.
  5. The cottage was really nice, and finished to a high standard with plenty of finishing touches. Set on its own surrounded by rolling fields, its really quiet and peaceful. Perfect for a couple looking for a quiet weekend away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend to friends. Oct 2011.
