Wonderful scenic sea and mountain views

This detached holiday bungalow is situated facing the Dornoch Firth and the hills beyond, in a peaceful location overlooking the village of Ardgay and the Kyle of Sutherland. It has a good sized garden with open farmland and woodland to one side where, on occasions, deer have been spotted. Ardgay is well located for touring the spectacular north west, the scenic north east, the wild north, as well as Inverness and Loch Ness for monster spotting. The Isle of Skye and the Orkney Islands can be visited in a day. Activities include mountain biking, kayaking, horse riding, salmon, trout and sea fishing. There are superb golf courses including the internationally renowned championship course at Dornoch. There is a small golf course at Bonar Bridge, 1 mile away. The marine, bird and wildlife are particularly captivating. Spot dolphin, red kite, otters and seals in Cromarty, and visit an RSPB reserve in Caithness. Red and sika deer, eagles and red squirrels and a spectacular church can be seen up in the glen at nearby Croick. There are touching memories of the Highland Clearances on the windows where the crofters took refuge. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
