In a quiet lane a few metres from two magnificent beaches, surfing, Long Sands and King Edward’s Bay, and a short walk to Tynemouth village and the Priory, this light and airy terraced, corner mews cottage is superbly located for a coastal holiday. The Sea Life Centre and boating lake in the park are also within walking distance, with Cullercoats and Whitley Bay a few minutes’ drive away. For the gourmets, the fish restaurants on North Shields’ fish quay are not to be missed, whilst historic Alnwick, the Northumberland Castle Trail and National Park make excellent days out. Shop 400 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. First floor: 1 double bedroom with beams. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. Sloping ceilings throughout first floor.

Gas central heating and electricity included (£30per week October-April). Bed linen included. Towel hire. DVD and small library. CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Enclosed courtyard and furniture. Portable barbecue. On road parking (by permit). No smoking.

  7. My 3rd time staying in this lovely cottage. It’s very comfortable & is in a great location for beach, metro system to Newcastle & other attractions. Had really good visits to Gibside & Allen Banks both NT. Also St. Mary’s lighthouse definitely worth a visit. March 2011.

  9. The cottage was lovely and cosy and had everything in there. Home from home. We visited the property in Dec 2010 whilst the worse snow storms were happening for 17yrs. It was excellent value and accommodated our dogs which was brilliant. We will be booking again as we have family living in the area and it made an excellent place to stop. Thank you. Nov 2010.

The cottage is in an excellent position, parking a bit difficult but as we knew the area we had no problems, everything we needed was there, a really nice cottage, the owner was obviously giving much more than was needed to make your holiday really worry free, would rent this again without doubt.   19. Views to die for. Well Located for all amenities e.g. places to eat, pubs, park, aquatic center, surf shop, metro & a very good bus service 50 yards away from cottage. Very good antiques flea market at the metro station on Saturday and Sunday. March 2009.
