Property Description

Set in the heart of Alnmouth this perfectly located holiday cottage is cosy and welcoming. Only two minutes beach, golf course and eating places. Explore the heritage coastline with coastal walks starting in the village. Stabling is available in the village and fishing close by. Alnwick with its majestic castle and one of the biggest water gardens in Europe, 7 miles. Amble harbour and marina 5 miles, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and Seahouses a short drive. Boat trips to the Farne Islands, or visit Holy Island when the tide is out by driving over the causeway. Shops and pubs 25 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. First floor: 1 double bedroom. Bathroom with shower over Jacuzzi bath, shower attachment and toilet.

Gas woodburner in living room included. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. travel cot on request. Digital TV. DVD. CD. iPod dock. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Shared parking (3 cars). No smoking.

  1. First time visiting Alnmouth, and first time away over Christmas just as a couple with our dog. We wanted a relaxing break and access to beaches for walking and our stay there ticked both these boxes. The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy in front of the gas stove. The owners have furnished the property with some very considered textiles and ceramics, but have kitted it out with everything we needed. There were even things for our dog to use! We arrived to find lovely Christmas decorations, wine & goodies - really lovely personal touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. Fairly lucky with the weather and enjoyed lovely walks on the beach at Alnmouth and on the other side of the Aln Estuary. Recommend Craster to Dunstanburgh Castle and the sands at Beadnell. For a change of scene away from the coast, Alnwick has some good shopping and the river walk from Warkworth is also very peaceful. We at very well too at the local pubs & restaurants in Alnmouth and will definitely be returning at some point. Dec 2012.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
