Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Very romantic winter getaway. The village is friendly with good amenities and friendly locals. The cottage is well equipped with quirky layout and lovely, comfy bed. Open fire is a big plus! Nov 2012.
  2. A very conveniently located and well equipped property albeit on a busy street. April 2012.
  3. Ideal cottage for the complete getaway from it all break for two people. Cosy, romantic and just ideal, we loved it. This is the first cottage we have been to and throughly enjoyed every minute of it. Very well equipped. Nov 2011.
  4. Excellent location to visit national park, metro centre and the beautiful Northumberland coast. Cottage owner left us a bottle of wine and milk for when we arrived, which was very much appreciated after a 7hr journey. The village had 3 pubs, bakery, co-op and a butchers which sold lovely hot rolls and were great value. The Cheviot hotel is 30 yards from the cottage, which have a good selection of real ales. The Black Bull Hotel serve excellent quality meals from local produce. The village also has an excellent chinese take away. Overall Bellingham is a great base and has everything you need in the village, the cottage is in the heart of the village with parking at the front of the property. I have already recommended the cottage to family and friends and will definately stay there again. Oct 2011.
  5. A well equipped and comfortable cottage. Pleasant owner who left essentials like tea and coffee and a bonus of a bottle of wine and fesh milk. Location is superb and village is delightful. Oct 2011.
  6. A lovely cottage in a surprisingly busy village. Well appointed and comfortable, except TV reception was variable. We enjoyed the Cheviot Hotel, which was honest, decent food at reasonalbe prices; but the star venue was Battlesteads in Wark, which was delicious and, again, reasonalbe. The Chinese takeaway was fine - but their ’Appertisers’ were the size of main meals. Great place to base oneself to explore the many and varied attractions the Northumberland has to offer. Aug 2011.
  7. A cosy cottage with log/coal fire. Local amenities, pub, well stocked Co-op, bakers, butchers, chemist, hardware store and post office practically on the door step. April 2011.
  8. Excellent location and a lovely property! You wont be disappointed. April 2011.

  13. Liked the location within the village and local shops. Nov 2010.
  14. It is small but certainly plenty of room for 2. Shops opposite Co-op, Chemist, bakers, PO and newsagents. What more could one want! Mobiles do not work in cottage but there is a landline. Log fire if you so wish, and flat screen television. Oct 2010.
  15. The open fire was lovely, really cosy and it was nice to find a bottle of wine and pint of milk waiting there for us. Oct 2010.
  16. Warm, comfortable, and perfectly placed for getting out and about in Northumberland and beyond. Sept 2010.
  17. Spacious accommodation for a couple. Kitchen well equipped. Good location. Excellent area. May 2010.
  18. Convenient location - Great bakers and butcher’s really close by. Liked the log fire. Liked the welocme goodies - milk, sugar etc. Feb 2010.
  19. The accommodation provided everything we needed for or stay. The Christmas decorations really added to the ambiance. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and we had no complaints to be made. Dec 2009.
