Set near the breathtakingly beautiful North Devon Coast, this friendly, family run complex is peacefully located within 10 acres of grounds with outstanding views over the glorious Devon countryside. Moorhead Farm is the perfect holiday choice for family, friends and couples at any time of year. The complex comprises of 17 properties, 10 apartments for families accommodating between 3 and 6 people set together in the grounds, 6 apartments for couples set in a barn conversion attached to the main complex, and a separate cottage also attached to the main complex. The complex has fantastic on-site facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool (open all year), sauna and hot tub area, a well-equipped gym, games room and separate snooker room. Outside there is a 1½-acre, well-stocked fishing lake, with carp weighing as much as 20lb, in stunning surroundings, and a 9-hole pitch and putt course. In the evening there is a delightful fully licensed bar and restaurant to enjoy and give a relaxing end to the day (open Apr-Oct, Feb half term, Xmas & New Year). There is plenty to keep everyone entertained whatever the weather.
Only 4 miles from the coast, this stunning location is perfect to explore the dramatic North Cornwall and Devon coastline. There is the Hartland Peninsula, the pretty town of Bideford with a good range of facilities, and a trip to Lundy Island can be organised from the quayside. Westward Ho! has a long stretch of sand and good surf. Both walkers and cyclists will enjoy the nearby Tarka Trail and it is the perfect touring base to explore the delights of both North Devon and North Cornwall. Coastal walks, and for family fun, The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure Parks are a must. Garden lovers will enjoy RHS Rosemoor, Docton Mill and Tapeley Park, and there are many pretty fishing villages nearby including Clovelly, Instow and Appledore. The popular Cornish resort of Bude has fantastic beaches renowned for excellent surfing whilst the vibrant town centre has a vast array of good restaurants and bars. Tennis, horse riding, mountain boarding and surfing are all on offer locally and for a great day out, why not visit the famous Eden Project. Shop 1 mile.

Situated in a barn conversion, this is a cosy and charming apartment in a quiet part of the complex, but within easy access to all facilities. These apartments adjoin open fields and overlook the countryside. They are particularly designed for couples in mind.
Greenfinch is a first floor apartment: Living/dining room/kitchen area. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite bathroom and toilet, 1 twin with en-suite shower room and toilet.

  1. For a peaceful away from it all break, it is a perfect location. Accommodation itself was excellent, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything provided for. Beautiful views of countryside from lounge and bedroom windows. Lovely swimming pool pool and hot tub. Enjoyable evening meals and wine in the on-site restaurant and cosy atmosphere in the bar. Personal attention from owners made it very friendly and welcoming. Pleasant walks around grounds. Separate snooker room a bonus as well and there were lots of other things on offer. Plenty to do within a short drive, or longer drive if you wish or relax on site. Fishing lake also available for fishermen. June 2012.

  3. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Karen and Steve. We were shown to our apartment and was struck by how everything was clean and tidy and the beautiful scenery. We ate several times at the restaurant and found the food exceptional. As we have kids - we thought they might get bored but there were so many things to occupy them namely, the swimming pool, hot tub, games room, pitch and putt golf, Video and DVD library etc. IF we needed anything, Steve and Karen were always on hand to help. We enjoyed our holiday immensely and will definitely return. July 2011.
  4. The accommodation was small but just what we needed, the farm is situated just south of the A39 about 10 miles from Bideford, an ideal position to visit all of the sights. The facilities were very good with the restaurant and bar providing good value, its not a 5 star hotel and there is an on going up grading of accommodation, and I have quite a relaxed attitude to that. Steve and Karen the owners were very nice and approachable. £500 1st week in June, accommodation for 4 and all the facilities I was more than happy. Would I book again, having stayed at numerous other places in north Devon, definitely. May 2011.

Although the weather let us down, the accommodation with pool, hot tub, games room, bar and restaurant ensured we still had a fab time and a great get away from the usual hustle and bustle of every day life.
