This delightful holiday property, part of the owner’s home, is located in the heart of the seaside village of Anstruther, which is only 9 miles from St Andrews and its famous golf courses, and provides an ideal base to explore and enjoy the best Fife has to offer. The Great Lodging Red House is an historical house which is part of a large traditional Scottish home dating back to the 1500s. The house is tastefully furnished throughout, with period and antique furniture and has two living rooms, one of which is on the second floor and spans the whole house, as well as having wash basins in all the bedrooms and sea views from many of the rooms. From your front door you can enjoy leisurely walks on the beach, visit the harbour, quaint shops, bars and restaurants or enjoy fish and chips from the award-winning restaurant on the sea front. St Andrews and its many championship golf courses, for which the region is famous for is only 9 miles away. Dundee can be reached in 30 minutes and Perth and Edinburgh in an hour. The property can be booked with The Garden Flat (ref 29784) to accommodate up to 8 guests and they are ideal for 2 families or friends who wish to be together but have some privacy. Beach 200 yards. Shop and restaurant 500 yards, pub 200 yards.
