Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Granite cottage is a real gem. This was our second visit. The cottage is very comfortable and homely with lots of space. It is in an excellent location with off road biking/walks close to the door. It’s only about 20 minutes drive up to the ski centre car park giving access to the Cairngorms. The one rainy day we had we headed up to the Moray coast, which again is in easy access. There is a shop across the road which sells all everyday essentials and a fish and chip van pulls up outside the cottage on a Thursday and serves excellent fish and chips. Feb 2012.
  2. Fantastic cottage - will recommend it to others. July 2011.
  3. House great for children as you don’t worry that they are going to damage things as it is an older property as are the fixtures and fittings. Remember to take towels as not included in the hire. June 2011.
  4. It was a nice home from home cottage. Jan 2011.
  5. Very cosy yet spacious. Nov 2010.
  6. Typical highland cottage. Plenty of space and conveniently situated to visit Cairngorms. July 2010.
  7. Old fashioned but very comfortable. May 2010.
  8. It was a good base for exploring a very pleasant area. Only fly in the ointment was that we are used to recycling and were not given sufficient information about it. The caretaker was very helpful (she told us about the children’s playground just up the road), friendly and approachable but left us to ourselves. July 2008.
  9. I would like to thank both the Cottage Owners and Angie MacFarlane, the caretaker, for contributing to, what was an excellent break. We will definitely be using these facilities again. April 2008.
  10. The entry way is so beautiful that it immediately makes you relaxed and excited at the same time. Its beautiful. The caretaker was of great help. She should be given a raise. She even loaned us towels when we forgot them. Her children were so great and kept asking ours to come out and play but there was so much for us to do that we didn’t have time for them to play and by the time we got back at night, everyone was so tired. So, we were sad not to get to spend more time with her boys. We loved the long walks we were able to take in the community forest area. What a beautiful place. Oct 2008.
  11. Brilliant house, friendly neighbours, lovely little town... has made us very enjoyable time! Feb 2009.
  12. Accommodation far exceeded the expectations. Very clean, organised, fully serviced with all amenities. Excellent location. was icing on the cake for our Scotland trip. Already have recommended the cottage and the site to fellow student at Oxford University. Jan 2009.
  13. Good location and a great cottage would use it again. Jan 2009.
  14. Lovely old cottage which provided a welcome change from city life. The village is beautiful with plenty to see and do in the area. April 2007.
  15. Just what we were after. Somewhere affordable, clean, spacious and no fuss. Dec 2008.
