Property Description

It stands in the grounds of the owner’s Grade II listed Georgian home, close to a natural pond, and makes a relaxing holiday base. Within easy reach are good beaches, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar, Dunster village and Castle (NT), West Somerset Steam Railway and beautiful Exmoor. Excellent walking on the Quantock Hills, sailing on Durleigh reservoir, golf at Enmore and riding nearby. Shop and pub 1 mile.

  1. A lovely cottage in a great location, very peaceful yet within distance of many attractions inc. Bath, Wells, Dunster & Cheddar. We received a warm welcome from Tish, the owner, who had flowers and a cream tea waiting for us. We enjoyed the company of the chickens and ducks and Lucy, the 10 yr old Lab. We also had visits from a little owl, a barn owl and woodpeckers. We had a wonderful holiday, had lots of great days out and yet we looked forward to coming back to the cottage every night. July 2012.
  2. The cottage is in a lovely setting with its own garden and pond, ideal for sitting and relaxing in when you don’t want to go anywhere. It’s in easy reach of Stourhead (National Trust house and gardens). Glastonbury, Wells, Street for Clark’s Shopping Village and the coast (Weston-Super-Mare and other resorts). May 2012.

  7. We found this property far exceeded some others we have stayed in in the past. From the warmest of welcomes to the surprise of the animals (ducks, chickens, sheep and resident dog, Lucy) within the property boundaries, this was a delightful place to stay. With surrounding fields and long walks aplenty gave the feel of a very cosy country cottage with only a few minutes drive into and through Bridgwater. We would highly recommend this property for either a quiet retreat or a base for exploring the County and further afield. April 2011.
  8. We found the cottage well maintained, clean equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. We had a welcoming cream tea waiting for us when we arrived which was a nice touch and appreciated after a long journey. The cottage was well situated to the places that we wanted to visit, i.e. The Cheddar Gorge. Glastonberry,Western Super-mare and we even went on a day trip to Bath. May 2011.

  16. Join the National Trust. Grange Farm is well located for most N.T. Properties and membership for our family represented excellent value and saving. Visits to Montacute House, Knighthayes, Lyte Cary, Tyntesfield, Stourhead, Dunster Castle and Glastonbury Abbey were well worthwhile. June 2008.
