Standing in rolling countryside, adjacent to the owner’s farm, these ground floor (W8226) and first floor (W8227) apartments are well equipped and furnished, providing excellent holiday accommodation for a quiet break. The farm, with marvellous views of the Pennines all around, is situated in the beautiful Eden Valley which lies within the triangle of the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines, making it an ideal base for touring. Eden is an outstanding area for walking, whether you enjoy a hike on the high open fells or a gentle riverside stroll. If you cycle, you’ll love the quiet country lanes full of wild flowers and birds. There are attractions for the whole family including canoeing or a steamer trip on Ullswater (20 miles). Enjoy a ride on a restored railway high in the North Pennines or catch the Settle to Carlisle railway line (5 miles), famous for its wonderful scenery and the 24 arched Ribblehead Viaduct, The unspoilt destination will inspire and refresh you at any time of the year and a lively calendar of events throughout the year includes festivals, farmers’ markets, country and craft fairs, and traditional agricultural shows. The holiday apartments are located just 5 miles from the traditional market town of Kirkby Stephen with its shops, pubs and restaurants, and the picturesque former county town of Appleby, which has a leisure centre and is 5 miles in the other direction. Shop and restaurant 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

  1. The accomodation was exactly as described, and very well equiped for a family. Having the large open plan kitchen/lounge meant there was plenty of space and the 2 bathrooms were a bonus. The location is very rural which was just what we were looking for, so we had a great relaxing break. The owners were very welcoming and the property is ideally suited to exploring the lakes/dales and even further north. Highly recomended. Oct 2011.

  9. Cannot rate highly enough the standard of the accommodation and it was exceptionally clean. Although a bit rural would highly recommend it as a base for exploring the immediate area and the lakes. The local roads are great fun to drive on but the sat nav could not direct us the the accommodation. The farm setting was nice and even though a working farm there was little noise only from the farm animals and hordes of new lambs. Highly recommended !! March 2010.

  11. The property was very clean and well decorated, with a nice modern feel. The accommodation had everything was needed for a very pleasant, relaxed break, away from the hustle of a big city. The on suit bathroom was very useful and the wonderful power shower certainly woke you up, ready for a good day walking around the wonderful Lake District and surrounding areas. March 2006.
