This traditionally built modern bungalow is on the quiet village street of Chelmorton, one of the prettiest of Derbyshire’s White Peak hamlets, deep in the Peak National Park between the spa town of Buxton and Bakewell. Convenient for Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and Alton Towers. There are lovely views over the moors from the living room window and this well equipped holiday bungalow is an ideal base from which to enjoy the splendid walking in the hills.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with patio doors. Kitchen. 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with shower cubicle, 1 twin. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. Video. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Garden with patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars).

  1. We had a lovely holiday in Chelmorton and joined in the village’s jubilee celebrations. We were made to feel very welcome. The cottage was a great base to discover the Peak District and had everything we needed (except a hairdryer!) We would definitely stay again. Thank you. June 2012.
  2. Ideally located in the country but within a few mins drive of Buxton. The cottage was comfortable however difficult to seat 5 people to eat, we actually swapped the kitchen table for the table in the lounge as it was larger. As you would use this cottage primarily as a walking base a tumble dryer would be a huge help. The local pub serves excellent food and allows dogs. Overall a lovely comfortable cottage in excellent location. Oct 2011.

A comfortable home from home in a quiet rural setting ideally placed for visiting neighbouring historic homes, walking & places of interest. more information on attractions & walks in the neighbourhood would have been appreciated.   7. The bungalow is lovely everything you need is there. The owner was very helpful you could contact them any time nothing was to much trouble for them. Our only fault was the weather when it rained every day we were there but apart from that we had a good holiday and would recommend it. May 2011.

  10. The accommodation was well presented with amble room in the bedrooms for all our items. The rooms were warm and the surrounding area made them feel cosy. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were superb with a lovely shower and lovely sized bath. The kitchen had all the facilities from home and made us feel very settled. We particularly were impressed with the cottages situation within the village as it was surrounded by lovely walks and was great for routes by car to all the major attractions in the area.
