Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, this holiday home makes an ideal base for touring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula, within an hour’s drive from the region’s main towns of Tralee, Killarney, Killorglin and Dingle. This cosy, romantic, detached cottage offers great panoramic views of the McGillycuddy’s Reeks, Ireland’s highest mountain range, the Slieve Mountains to the rear, with many hiking possibilities, and distant sea views. More gentle walks and trails are also available, or stroll along the miles of sands at Inch beach. Enjoy the beautiful sea views from the private patio where you can pick herbs and salad leaves which are there for the holidaymaker’s pleasure. The area offers many attractions including golf, horse riding, fishing, beaches and farmer’s market. Shop, pubs and restaurant 1.3 miles.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with wooden floor/kitchen with tiled floor. Shower room with toilet. First floor: Mezzanine with double bed, sloping ceiling and wooden floor.

  2. The reference for this cottage is YWF, which stands for ’You’re Welcome, Friend! The cottage is comfortable and well appointed and the owner made us very welcome indeed. Her fresh baked soda bread made her my friend for life! Our stay was marked by severe unseasonal gales, which exposed cold draughts that made it hard to keep the cottage warm, but I would happily come back here again, there is so much to see and do in the area, this is ideally situated and thanks to the weather we have hardly begun to explore farther afield. My dog especially enjoyed roaming round the sand dunes on Inch Strand! April 2012.
  3. Made very welcome, lovely peat fire (needed), no private sitting out area (not needed due to weather). Very close to owner’s home. April 2012.
  4. First-class and particularly comfortable open-plan cottage, in a peaceful rural location. Excellent access to the Dingle and Iveagh peninsulas, where the mountain scenery and roads exceeded our expectations and two attractive towns such as Killarney and Kenmare. The owner’s were thoughtful and very kind hosts. July 2011.
  5. An excellent base for touring Kerry. The accommodation is first class - more like a hotel and the hosts are extremely welcoming and very helpful. The soda bread is lovely. It was our second holiday here and it certainly will not be our last - we are looking forward to our next visit. June 2011.

  7. The accommodation was first class - better than some hotels I have stayed in. The attention to detail could not be faulted and one of the most important factors that made our holiday so enjoyable was the hosts themselves. Julie and Jo were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and her soda bread and apple pie were beautiful. We certainly enjoyed our stay. June 2010.
