  1. Would highly recommend Goose Cottage. Absolutely lovely place and the owners are very friendly. Would definitely go back there in the spring when the weather is better ha. Thank you for a fantastic and relaxing few days. Amanda and David. Dec 2012.
  2. Goose cottage was amazing. A perfect place to forget the rat race and recharge your batteries. We were made to fell so welcome by our hosts who are a shout away if needed. It set in a beautiful place with stunning views. We took our dog with us and she enjoyed it as much as us! Oban has some lovely eateries and would recommend a trip to the isles via the ferry. Oban is in walking distance from the cottage. So happy we are booking again to go in 2014. Oct 2012.
  3. A beautiful spacious cottage, thoughtfully designed and furnished by the owners. Spotlessly clean and well deserves its luxury tag - for the bathroom alone! We really appreciated the welcome bottle of wine too. The cottage is a pleasant 15 minute stroll into the centre of Oban and is a flat walk except for the last 50 meters which is up hill on the way home - gets the heart pumping! Take a small torch if you are out for the evening on foot as there is no lighting once you turn off the road. The location meant we could leave the car behind and both take advantage of the great places to eat and drink in Oban. Sept 2012.
  4. Brilliant cottage in a stunning and very peaceful setting. Lovely friendly owners who made us feel very welcome and highly recommend drinking your complimentary wine sat in the seats on their decking/ summer house overlooking the sea complete with gorgeous sunset... Loads to do around Oban including visiting Mull and Kererra islands. Recommend the seafood temple and the hot chocolate at the Oban Chocolate company. Aug 2012.
  5. Goose Cottage is situated in the most beatiful and tranquil area and is just the ticket for total relaxation - it’s location is so peaceful and yet only a 15 minutes stroll into Oban’s town centre. Although it’s a fair 6 hours drive from where we live, my partner and I will seriously consider returning - it’s lovely, and the owners who live nearby, make you very welcome and yet are not intrusive. May 2012.
  6. We loved Goose Cottage. I concede we were incredibly fortunate with the weather throughout our stay but regardless we were blessed with charming, conscientious hosts, a sumptiously serene location and fine facilities. It’s all in the little touches. It lived up to all our expectations and more. As someone wrote in the guestbook Goose Cottage is truly a home from home. Best wishes to Ruth and James. March 2012.
  7. We spent our honeymoon here and it was absolutely perfect. We would love to come back again soon - highly recommended. Feb 2012.
  8. An absolutely wonderful cottage - very high quality and in a superb location. Totally rural - Scots pine within feet from the bedroom window. Lovely views from the grounds. Very close to local amenities. Recommended without reservation. Feb 2012.
  9. Fabulous cottage, total retreat away from the stresses of everyday life. Would highly recommend to couples as very romantic and peaceful with fantastic location. The owners were very helpful and were there if you needed anything. Complimentary bottle of wine and milk, coffee etc on arrival. Jan 2012.
  10. Winter in Scotland is always a chancy affair but in good weather this cottage is great for lovers of country walks, wildlife or peace & tranquility. Dec 2011.
  11. Friendly and very helpful hosts and a cottage that was a pleasure to be in. Lovely surroundings yet close to the town. The recommended eating places were good too. Oct 2011.
  12. Beautiful cottage and location. Owners were lovely and helpful. Cottage really comfortable, lots of nice touches. wine in the fridge, spare toothbrushes and toothpaste etc. Bathroom very luxurious, bigger than mine at home. Loved the woodburner every night, cosy. Sept 2011.
  13. Gorgeous cottage, great town, certainly worth a visit. The Seafood Temple, 5 mins walk from the cottage is certainly worth a visit. Aug 2011.
  14. Goose cottage is lovely. James & Ruth have only recently taken over the property but we had a very warm welcome. We wish them both well and look forward to visiting again someday. Aug 2011.
  15. This is a beautiful cottage, surprisingly spacious for two people. The property is really well equipped and the walk into town isn’t too difficult. July 2011.
  16. Comfortable cottage, in a quiet setting with good views from the hill top. Friendly and welcoming owners. The only disadvantage for us was the 600 mile drive to get there. June 2011.
  17. Great quiet location within easy walking distance of Oban. In 20 years this is the most comfortable cottage we have stayed in. Simply the Best! April 2011.
  18. Goose Cottage was absolutely wonderful. Set in a beautiful location (only two minutes walk from your own private loch) you felt out in the country yet were only 5 minutes drive from Oban. The cottage itself has been beautifully (and thoughtfully) furnished with all the finishing touches of a top class hotel. The bathroom is superb with large walk in power shower, roll top bath and heated tiled floor. The bedroom had a lovely big king size bed with luxurious soft sheets and antique furniture. The curtains, cushions and fabric chair covers had been co-ordinated and there was even a matching blanket on the sofa for cosy evenings in! The kitchen was modern with everything you could need including a dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. We were always glad to get back to the cottage after a day out - it felt more like our own private hotel suite! We did not want to come home! April 2011.
  19. All fresh and modern decor, all amenities you could hope for and a lovely log burning stove. Feb 2011.
  20. The standard of the accommodation was excellent and could not be faulted in any way. A perfect place to stay for a relaxing break in the Highlands. Jan 2011.
