1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Set in the owners’ 18-acre smallholding, this semi-detached holiday cottage is furnished to a good standard and offers a base to explore the area. Walking, cycling, trekking and clay pigeon shooting close by. Visit the Brecon Beacons, The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley with their breathtaking scenery. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 1/2 mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with beams and slate floor. Kitchen with beams and slate floor. 1 double bedroom. Shower room with toilet. Steep spiral stairs to first floor: 1 double (6ft zip and link, can be twin on request) bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Two Freeview TVs. Video. Electric range. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed courtyard patio with sitting-out area and furniture. 18-acre shared grounds. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Natural water supply from borehole. Welcome pack. Pet must be kept on a lead (working farm). No smoking. Friday to Friday. No babies or children under 10 years.

  1. Access to property by sat nav stopped short of property but otherwise access very good. Welcome by owners was excellent, friendly and communicative. Property excellent could not fault other than the ground floor bedroom was inclinded to be colder than the rest of the property. Would definitely go again and will recommend to friends etc. May 2012.
  2. This is a truly delightful place to stay; peaceful & secluded but within 15 minutes of good shopping facilities. Loads to do in the local area & lovely hosts who had the log burner lit ready to welcome us when we arrived. The only complaint is that we should have booked to stay longer. March 2012.

  4. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cottage. Our stay was for a New Year break with friends and we were extremely happy with the cottage and the price was very reasonable. The cottage was a good size for two people, with lovely original features like the stone spiral staircase and the log burning fire. It was nice to have two bathrooms as well. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely owners who gave us some information about the property as well as providing complimentary milk, tea, coffee and fresh eggs. The cottage is attached to the farmhouse but they left us alone for the duration of our stay. We were free to explore the grounds but we were a stone’s throw away from lovely walks in the Breacons. As well as feeling like you’re in the countryside, the town centre was only 5 minutes drive away. Not far from Cardiff either. The local pub, The Queen Inn did really good food... and so cheap (3 courses for £8.50!) at lunchtime. We will definitely re-visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break in a cosy cottage. Dec 2011.
  5. The cottage is situated on a working farm, it is spacious, well equipped, and best of all, (as we were there in the snow) beautifully warm. The two double bedrooms had plenty of storage, and the beds were clean comfortable and attractively presented. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and the farm dogs greeted us like old friends. Plenty of places around to visit, and the walking is fantastic as it is situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. Walking uphill from the cottage takes you to an open mountainside where you can walk off road for miles and the views are terrific.Two pubs are within walking distance of the cottage downhill, and both do food, big shops (Primark, M+S,Asda etc) all 5 minutes drive away in Cwmbran with free parking! Everything is within easy reach once you get used to all the roundabouts! would heartily recommend. Feb 2012.

  7. A very warm welcome from the owners and a lovely location. Accommodation well suited to our requirements - 2 disabled parents, and 2 active 60 year-olds who were able to climb the stairs ok! Very well equipped, which made for a wonderfully memorable final holiday with Mum, who died a few weeks later. Aug 2011.
