Property Description

Glanrafon Isaf is a fabulous converted barn and adjacent annexe that adjoins the River Gwyrfai, with full access for fishing and walking along the river bank. The open-aspect kitchen, dining and living area is ideal for family get-togethers and parties. The large decking area outside is ideal for barbecues and al fresco dining. This holiday home lies close to the town of Caernarfon and there is much to see in the area, including mighty Caernarfon Castle, the Galeri Arts Centre or take a trip on a steam train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Beddgelert. Children will also love Caernarfon’s Fun Centre (Yr Hwylfan), and Gypsy Wood Park in nearby Bontnewydd. It is also just a short journey to the Isle of Anglesey with its spectacular 125 miles of coastline and fascinating places to visit such as Beaumaris with its Edward I castle, Red Wharf Bay and the beautiful and leafy Newborough Forest. In the other direction is Snowdon which, at 3,560ft, is the highest mountain in Wales. A more relaxing way than climbing to the top is to take the train to the visitor centre at the summit - on a clear day the views are spectacular! The Victorian town of Llandudno, Llanberis and picturesque Betws-y-Coed are all within easy reach. Shop and pub 1½ miles.

  3. A fantastic cottage in a perfect peaceful location. This is the second time we have stayed in the cottage and we will definitely be back. There is plenty of space and the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area make it a very sociable venue for families and group of friends alike. We were 12 ladies and had a fabulous time. The location is perfect for walking alond the coast and just 5 mins drive into the town if you are feeling less energectic. The kitchen is well equiped with all mod cons and the coal fire makes the evenings just that bit cosier! Would highly recommend. March 2012.

  7. The accommodation was lovely, and exceeded our expectations. In fact, the whole group felt that it would benefit potential customers to know that the house is secluded and surrounded by fields. We’d even looked on Google Earth, and were surprised at how large the main house, annex and garden where. We had no idea that we were surrounded by fields, which was lovely. Feb 2011.

  11. The accommodation is perfect for a weekend away. I went for my 26th birthday with a group of friends, and it was the best Birthday to date! The cottage is spacious, warm and inviting. Modern with classic features. All our needs were catered for and we will definitely be back! Oct 2010.

  14. We have been to a few of your properties and this is the best one we have stayed in! It’s tucked away down a little drive but when you walk round and see the views, the decking area and all the doors opening out, it’s ’wow’!! One of the members of our party uses a walking aid and it was ideal for her as it was all accessible. May 2010.
