Centrally situated in the village, this cosy detached cottage, surrounded by spectacular hills, is convenient for a wide range of opportunities and touring delights, with Oban 35 miles, Glencoe 28 miles and Fort William 47 miles. Tyndrum is Scotland’s only national park located on the A82, at the junction of Oban and Fort William. There are excellent facilities in the village, including pub, mini market, restaurant, fish and chips cafe, petrol station, cash machines and two railway stations. The holiday cottage is ideally situated for hiking, munros, cycling, canoeing, golfing and walking the West Highland Way. Golfing, fishing and water sports can be enjoyed in the area. Visit one of Perthshires heritage centres, castles or National Trust properties. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

  1. The owner made us feel very welcome and was most helpful. The cottage is in a very quiet lane but with shops pub restaurants etc just a few hundred yards away. Its in an ideal area for visiting west coast highlands Stirling. The weather was perfect whilst we were ther clear blue skys sunshine and no wind. Oct 2012.

  6. The cottage was well suited on the west Highland Way for touring and exploring the area. It was clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Suggestions - a table and chairs in the front garden for when the weather is good. May 2010.

  8. Very short walk to Brodie’s Minimarket and the Green Welly Stop, food and general supplies can be obtained from both. Next to the latter is the Tyndrum Lodge Hotel, which serves large portions of pub food at reasonable prices either in the main restaurant or in Paddys Bar. Cottage is well furnished and comfortable. May 2010.
  9. This Garden Cottage lies 2 minutes away from the mountains, literally. There is plenty of opportunity to explore the surrounding areas. Tyndrum is located quite well for exploration of most of the south-western parts of Scotland, from the Trossacks, to Oban, and even Fort William. The property itself was very good. The only criticism I have is that no towels were provided, but the owner kindly offered some of his own. Otherwise we had an excellent holiday at this location. June 2009.
  10. On arrival we were received by the owner who gave us his Scottish patter which was excellent. The accommodation and the scenery were first class, the location has to be seen to be appreciated. At one point I thought I saw Julie Andrews running through the Glen. A wonderful holiday. May 2009.

  13. Many nice places to visit by car in the surroundings, but Tyndrum is not so interesting to stay. The house was well furnished, but we missed the feeling of being private (garden). The owner was kind, no problems at all. July 2007.

If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
