Customer Comments

Selected comment(s) from customers who have enjoyed staying at this property:
  1. Lovely secluded spot. Wonderful walks straight from the front door. June 2012.
  2. A bijou cottage for two. In a very empty part of the Lakes. Well worth going there. Only our short legged dog held us back from the longer walks available! April 2012.
  3. The weather during our holiday over New Year 2011 was raining, windy and we had a little bit of snow fall which we were prepared for and loved because at the end of the day we could come home to Ganny Cottage, light the fire, open a bottle of red and totally relax! We thank you for the opportunity to stay in your unique cottage which we were comfortable in and prepared for us to stay there. Ganny Cottage is the most amazing cottage we’ve ever been to and the best thing about it is that you have the freedom to make it your own! Personally for us, Ganny Cottage gave us the foundation to bring our own personality into the cottage and have one of the best weeks of our lives. When you arrive, park your car, go to the bottom left corner of the grounds by the two stumps, stop, look, listen and just purely enjoy the tranquil and serene paradise that you are in. We will definitely be back again. This place is pure medicine to whatever is going on in your life and recommend it for happiness, laughter and falling in love! xxx Dec 2011.
  4. Great location & really nice cottage. We had a really nice break. May 2011.
  5. This cottage was stunning. The location was everything. Great walks right on your doorstep and come home to a relaxing cottage. What more can you ask for? Its the second time I have been there and I will be going back on more occasions. March 2011.
  6. I booked the cottage as I was looking for a romantic setting, Beautiful landscape, out of the way, four poster bed and most important a real log fire. Jan 2011.
  7. Well isolated fully contained great cottage. Jan 2011.
  8. We liked the cottage kept in traditional local style. Aug 2010.
  9. A perfect place for peace and privacy, with beautiful views. June 2010.
  10. The location was perfect for a quiet, out-of-the-tourist area holiday. Beautiful views of Scafell and many good walks could be had from the cottage. I would recommend taking food stocks with you, the shopping facilities are quite a drive away. July 2010.
  11. For such a small cottage it is supplied with all your needs to a very high standard, even down to the unexpected ipod docking CD radio. June 2010.
  12. Everything we needed for a week’s break. May 2010.
  13. The cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning scenery. The accommodation is a good size for a couple and everything supplied that is needed. Great for dogs due to being so rural. Oct 2009.
  14. 4 poster bed was only frame and made bedroom appear very cramped. Brochure should have explained exactly how remote cottage was. The adjacent cottage was unoccupied and this could have been quite spooky for some during the night. Sept 2009.
  15. The remoteness. Sept 2009.
  16. Stunning location - felt completely isolated in the middle of the Lakes - just what we wanted. Aug 2009.
  17. I cannot fault the location, if you want to be in the middle of the Fells then you are truly there at this property. Cosy and quaint, beautiful location made up for any shortfalls - of which I have to say there really were not any. July 2009.
  18. Ganny Cottage... Highly recommended! June 2009.
  19. Wonderfully remote location with superb environment for dogs. Go prepared with plenty of provisions as shops are to difficult to get to and not always open. Jan 2009.
  20. The cottage was everything we expected and more! The location was perfect and we would certainly consider returning. Nov 2008.
