Just 20 minutes from Windermere, these holiday properties are set in lovely countryside and ten acres of landscaped grounds, facing south, with wonderful long distance views to the sea, and to the hills beyond. This large country house set on a wooded knoll has been skilfully converted into six spacious holiday houses, which are owned by the Caravan Club Ltd and situated on the edge of one of their immaculately kept small touring caravan parks. The house consists of a two storey cottage wing (W42981), a first floor apartment (W42982), a ground floor garden apartment (W42983), two ground floor apartments (W42984 and W42986) and a first floor balcony apartment (W42985). There’s a lot to see and do in the immediate area. Close by is beautiful Cartmel Priory and the stately homes at Holker Hall, Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall. 3 miles west along the coast is the refined small seaside town of Grange-over-Sands with lots of shops, golf and fishing. The properties make an excellent touring base for the whole of the southern Lake District. Shop 3 miles, pub with food 400 yards.

  6. Very nice accomdation in a superb location. Actually on a Caravan Club campsite. Campsite shop literally a minutes walk away. Pub is 10 minute walk away. In terms of location, 10 minutes from Grange Over Sands and 20 minutes from Kendell and Windermere. Close to major roads for getting around the Lake District but rural enough for gentle stroll. Flat is really nice, huge kitchen, nice sized bathroom and comfortable living and bedrooms. We liked it so much that we’re going to book it for next year. May 2010.

  10. We are normally caravaners, but it was very nice for a change and to know the wardens were available if required. Feb 2007.
  11. This is my second visit to property W172 - I love the huge kitchen, the fact that the bathroom has a separate shower and the access to the huge garden, which is a bonus for my dog, as we live in an upper flat. I hope to return to this garden flat again next year. May 2007.
  12. Very quiet, comfortable, clean accommodation with uninterrupted view over Morecambe Bay. Extensive garden with patio furniture. Very restful and tasteful decor. June 2007.
