Conveniently located only 50 yards from the quaint Findon village with its olde worlde charm, offering local shops, butchers, pubs, restaurants and post office, this attractive detached oak barn is also close to the glorious South Downs Way, with plenty of scenic walks and stunning countryside views, and a 10-minute drive from the beach. There are many splendid features, such as vaulted beamed ceilings, wooden floors, bespoke kitchen, wood-burning stove and two bathrooms. Worthing, with its seaside attractions, beach, shops, theatre, lido is about a 5-minute drive. Also nearby are bustling Brighton with Royal Pavilion, historic Arundel Castle, and Chichester.   1. This cottage was ideal if you want flexibility of either eating out or cooking in. Plenty of eating/drinking options within easy walking distance in the village. The cottage was well furnished and the bed very comfortable. Only item missing was an ice compartment in the fridge. For dog owners the garden is secure and there are great walks across the downs direct from the cottage. The dog friendly beach of Ferring is only 10 minutes drive away. June 2012.

  3. Fig Tree Cottage is really unique and very cosy. It is well located in a lovely village with pubs and an Indian and also the Cissbury Ring (in the village) is great for walks. Dec 2011.
  4. It is unique, a small house full of rustic charm and clearly loved by its owners. It doesn’t have a conventional garden, if that is what is looked for, but its series of sunny, sheltered courtyards were perfect for us, and our two elderly cats! Location in the heart of the village with great walks up to Cissbury Rings for sunsets to die for. Sept 2011.
  5. Well appointed and located; good shops in the village. Excellent bathroom facilities. No dishwasher. Our only complaint was a lack of mugs and knives; the mugs were mostly pint sized! July 2011.
  6. The cottage was well cared for. It was full of character, a lot of effort had been put into detail. The rooms were very clean and a credit to the owner. We had supplies of beverages and complimentary biscuits on our arrival this was a nice start to a perfect stay. May 2010.
  7. This property was stunning and had so many unique features. We were very surprised that it wasn’t a ’5’ star! The owner was fantastic to deal with. All in all fantastic and we intend to go back! Feb 2010.
