This family owned farm is over one hundred years old and set in over 200-acres of working arable farmland. Enjoying open views across the fields to the front, the owners have created these warm, character courtyard cottages with a children’s play area. The ideal holiday location for peace and quiet, yet only ¾ mile from the village of Cawood and Cawood Castle, former home of Cardinal Wolsey, Archbishop of York. The city of York is just 10 miles and boasts many museums, and of course the beautiful York Minster. Historical Selby market town, 6 miles, still hosting the street market every Monday. River walks, fishing and swimming pool, ¾ mile. Shops and pubs ¾ mile.

This property is close to the 2014 Tour de France route, come and experience the spectacular scenery for yourself and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.

Ground floor: Living/dining room with beams and wooden floor. Kitchen with tiled floor. Utility room. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft) with en-suite bathroom and toilet, 1 twin (2ft 6in for children) with beams and en-suite shower room with toilet.

Video and small library. Stereo/CD. Friday to Friday.

All properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Fridge/freezer. Large shared garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Children’s play area with swings. Pets welcome (working farm).

  11. Had a lovely weekend away from the hustle and bustle of home. The property is in a lovely and peaceful location. Perfect for dogs, our Staffie, Biggins loved it, he walked for miles off his lead. The surrounding area is perfect. We did the Wesley Walk on the Saturday morning and ended up at the Castle Inn in Cawood. Biggins was made very welcome by the landlady and the food and beer were excellent. Overall a perfect location for a perfect weekend. Feb 2009.
