In a stunning elevated coastal setting with panoramic sea views, this spacious cottage lies within easy walking distance of Embleton Bay’s quiet sandy beach – part of the Heritage coastline and a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Built from attractive local stone, it boasts a first-floor living room, with views towards the picturesque village of Low Newton and the medieval ruined castle of Dunstanburgh (with 18-hole golf course). Beyond the castle lies the fishing village of Craster, famous for its kippers. Virtually from the doorstep there are walks along miles of gentle coastal paths. Also ideally situated for short drives to Alnwick Castle and Garden, Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses (for boat trips to the Farne Islands), Holy Island and inland to the beautiful Cheviot Hills. Pub, shop and Post Office 200 yards.

  1. A wonderful holiday in beautiful Northumberland. Embleton beach is amazing and the views are exceptional. The owner of the property is extremely accommodating. The local jam and biscuits were an unexpected extra. We only live an hour away but it felt like another world. We will be back. June 2012.
  2. I have stayed in this cottage twice and it has the most amazing view, a comfortable lounge, comfortable beds and quality bed linen. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, cooker and dishwasher. There is a pub and hotel within 2 mins walk to eat out if you want to. June 2012.

  4. Farne cottage is in a perfect location, with fantastic views over the fields to the sand-dunes and the sea. Embleton village has a lovely couple of pubs for meals and a couple of shops for groceries etc. Can highly recommend the smoked fisheries in sea houses and craster for take home and eat food! The golf club by Embleton bay also does nice food. Bamburgh, Warkworth and Alnwick are a must - including barter books - and Alnmouth has another great beach when the tide is out. We loved this cottage and the holiday so much we have booked to return next year with my parents and the dog!! June 2011.

If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately..
