1. These terms and conditions should be read with the Booking Conditions and insurance information in our brochures or on our website. Especially note Sections 2, 4 and 7 of the Booking Conditions
2. Offer applies only to bookings for 2014 which are booked before 13th April 2014.
3. The low deposit payable under this offer is £25.
4. Does not apply to properties that sleep 10 or more.
5. The difference between the £25 low  deposit and the usual deposit shown in our main brochure or website is payable with the balance payment, which we must receive no later than 10 weeks before your booking starts, or at the time of cancellation if you cancel your booking. This payment will include all applicable charges as detailed on your booking confirmation, including any insurance premiums and any Ferry costs. If payment is not received in full on time, we can treat your booking as cancelled by you for a non-refundable reason. If this happens, you will be responsible for cancellation charges (as shown in our main brochure or our website) including any deferred Booking Fee, Personal Travel Insurance and Ferry crossings that you have chosen to buy, all of which must be paid immediately.

Property Description

These delightful, terraced barn conversions are situated in one of the most peaceful and beautiful areas of the North York Moors National Park, deep in the valley of Glaisdale Dale. Nab End Farm is home to five skilfully converted holiday cottages, Glaisdale (ref W43151), Eskdale (ref W43152), Rosedale (W43153), Silver Birches (ref W43155), Farndale (ref W43154). The friendly owners who live in the farmhouse welcome their guests with the warmth so typical of this lovely part of Yorkshire, and every care has been taken to ensure guests have an enjoyable holiday. The cottages look out over immaculately maintained and manicured gardens with lawns, shrubs and flower borders, and guests are welcome to enjoy these 5-acre grounds, surrounded by sheep farms, pine woods, waterfalls and streams. An abundance of walks lead from the doorstep to the moors with more gentle strolls along the river bank. There is good fishing in the river and excellent inns, pubs and eating houses within 3 miles, where Yorkshire’s finest cuisine can be enjoyed. Nearby are the villages of Goathland, Egton and Lealhome to name but a few of the many villages tucked deep in the valleys yet close to the River Esk as it meanders its way to the sea at Whitby, 9 miles. Goathland is the centre of Heartbeat country and boasts a pretty village green lined with curio shops, inns and tea rooms. From Grosmont, the North York Moors steam train makes for a memorable journey through the stunning moorland scenery and the glorious Esk Valley into the market town of Pickering. The heritage coastline of Yorkshire is easily reached with spectacular cliff top walks affording breath-taking views across the coast and many quaint fishing villages awaiting discovery. The ancient sea port of Whitby is close by, known for its connections with Capt. James Cook, and is where Bram Stoker found his inspiration and Dracula was born. The cobbled streets are crammed with tumbling cottages, a busy harbour, an attractive marina and a wealth of antique, curio shops inns and tea rooms, and a 3-mile stretch of sandy beach, all overlooked by the cliff top abbey ruins. Visit the smugglers’ coves of Robin Hood’s Bay and Runswick Bay, untouched by the hands of time, where pretty little cottages cling to the cliff edge and the steep cobbled bank leads to a sandy cove perfect for rock pooling and fossil hunting. Shops, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

The location was perfect, in a beautiful peaceful valley within easy reach of the moors, the coast, the dales and any towns that I might have wanted to visit. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and suitably heated for a September in the North York Moors. The property owner was very friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive.   12. After 27 consecutive years visiting Ibiza we decided to have a change and what a delightful change we found. So peaceful and relaxing, the property and grounds are absolutely immaculately kept. The owners are fantastic hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. June 2009.
