A semi-detached family home set in the owner’s grounds with private lawned garden. Only a short walk from the magnificent Caernarfon Castle and historic town. An ideal spot to tour all of North Wales with Snowdon itself only 8 miles, the Isle of Anglesey 7 miles and the lovely Lleyn Peninsula nearby. A wonderful area for climbing, walking, all outdoor pursuits, with the Plas Menai National Watersports Centre 3 miles away. Local attractions include beaches, an 18-hole golf course on the edge of the Menai Straits (2 miles), park/play area and bowls. Indoor tennis courts, swimming pool and leisure centre approx 1 mile. The Lôn Eifion cycle path and the Welsh Highland Railway adjacent to the house with steam trains to Beddgelert and Porthmadog. Train station at Caernarfon within walking distance. Bicycles can be hired on the quay. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.

  2. We enjoyed our stay at Erw Goed very much. The owner was welcoming and helpful although I would have appreciated some of her comments and tips on visits being written in a welcome book as I couldn’t remember all that she had said. Fortunately, my daughter remembered things better than me! The cottage was cosy, as in spite of cold and wet weather, the owner put the heating on each night and morning for us, inviting us to light a fire if we needed. June 2012.

Although the location of the cottage is private behind trees it is situated just off Caernarfon and the A487 and you can reach nearly all places of interest in North Wales in about half an hour. The heating is very efficient, all rooms are comfortable and warm within minutes. All rooms are light and well furnished. Oct 2007.
